The Hidden Secret

Part 3: Best Mistake

The next morning....

I wake up feeling still a bit tipsy and smelling of alcohol. I open my eyes and see I'm in a completely different place. I notice my clothes are on the floor, maybe I just got really drunk and slept naked? I look over my shoulder and see a boy next to me who seems to also be naked but it isn't Adam.

I try to remember what happened last night and a name suddenly came to mind.

"Johnny?" I say quietly.

He turns around and it's him. We both look at each other in complete shock.

"Shit." I exclaimed.

As we both start getting changed we rerun the night over to see what happened.

"We left Talias after we had kissed and we came back to yours. We started drinking more alcohol but I can't remember what happened after that, I must of blacked out." I say.

"Well there's two glasses of wine on my table so obviously something happened." Johnny said to me.

"Are you joking? Of course something bloody happened! We were both in your bed naked!!! Adam was right you are a dickhead sometimes."

"If you hadn't of said to come back to mine yesterday this wouldn't of happened!"

"If you hadn't of kissed me then this wouldn't of happened!"

"Why don't you go run back to Adam and cry to him about how sorry you are and beg for forgiveness!" He shouts.

"No! We are gonna sit here and sort this out, I'm not leaving until we do." I say aggressively.

"Okay fine." He answers back.

"Can you go over it one more time so I know you've got it completely right?" I ask.

"Last night we bumped into each other and you got a bit drunk so I offered to take you home. As soon as we got in the car you fell asleep so I took you back to mine because I didn't want to disturb Adam. I let you sleep on my sofa for the night, end of story." He repeated.

"Good, one more time?" I said

"Beth I've been over it 10 times!" He moaned.

"Okay okay, I should probably get going before Adam starts worrying." I say as I get up to leave.

"Make sure you remember the story." He says sarcastically.

I put my middle finger up at him and head out the door then get a taxi back to my flat. As I finally reach my door I take a deep breath and walk in. I go into the living room to see the tv on but no Adam. I spot the balcony door open so I head out there to see Adam enjoying the view.

"Hey I'm back." I say which scared him a bit.

"Oh hey, did you have a good time?" He asked.

"Yeah it was really nice." I reply.

He goes in to kiss me but I stop him. He'll be able to tell I've kissed someone else so I make something up.

"Let me go brush my teeth first, my breath reeks of alcohol." I go to the bathroom and scrub as hard as I can to get the taste of Johnny off my mouth. I see the reflection of Adam in the mirror leaning on the door frame.

"So, can I have my kiss now?" He asks.

I finish brushing my teeth and give him a kiss.

"Maybe we could continue the fun over there" he says as he directs his head over to the bed.

"Don't you want to hear about last night?" I ask.

"Sure"

I start telling him about my night and how I bumped into Johnny. Then I had to tell him the fake story.

"Did you get to Anna's then okay?" He asks.

"I didn't actually end of going back to Anna's last night, Johnny offered to bring me home but I fell asleep in his car so he let me sleep on his sofa."

"But why didn't he just bring you back here?" He questioned.

"Neither of us had a key and I don't think he knew you were here so he just let me sleep at his instead."

"Okay."

"Are you okay? You seem annoyed."

"No I'm fine it's just annoying how he didn't know I was here because I could of taken care of you."

"Adam you don't need to worry, he took care of me but he did make a rank cup of tea." I lied just to make him feel a bit better.

"Okay as long as he took care of you then I'm fine. Anyway did you still want to.....you know.."

I knew what he was talking about but didn't know if I was in the mood. I had to lie again, I couldn't sleep with him just hours after sleeping with his brother.

"Maybe tonight, I'm a little tired so I'm gonna have a nap."

"Oh okay, well let me know if you need anything." He replies.

I head into my room, close the door, take my make up off, get into some comfy clothes, close the curtains and get into my nice comfy bed.

I lay there looking up at the ceiling and just think to myself. What have I gotten myself into?
