The Hidden Secret

Part 2: The party

The next night.....

I finish getting ready for the party and step Into the lounge to see Adam sat on the sofa watching TV.

"So, what do you think?" I ask him.

He looks at me and is stunned.

"Wow, you looks absolutely STUNNING! He replies.

I give him a smile and pick up my bag and phone from the counter.

"I don't know when or if I'll be back tonight. If not I'll probably stay with Anna. I'll see you later" I give him a kiss on the head and I leave.

I get to the bottom of the block of flats to see my friend Anna waiting for me.

"Hey, almost thought you were bailing on me." She said as she gave me a big hug.

"Sorry I took so long, I couldn't get my hair to curl so eventually I just gave up." I said.

"Anyway we better get going." She replied.

We get into her car and head to the party.

After 10 minutes we arrive at the party, the house belongs to an old friend of ours. We get out the car and head in. As we walk in the smell of alcohol hits me and I already know that this was a mistake.

"Where's Talia?" I ask Anna.

"You guys made it!" Says Talia as she barges through the crowd. She gives me and Anna a hug.

"Of course! You know we'd never miss one of your party's." Anna says.

"Well come through to the kitchen and get some drinks." She says as she leads us through the house.

We pass a few familiar faces which we say hi to then we get to the kitchen which is empty. We grab ourselves some beer and talk to Talia for a bit.

"So Beth." Talia says "I hear you're dating some guy, who is it?"

"She won't tell anyone, she's been dating him for 3 months but won't reveal the secret man." Anna says.

"I will tell you soon, actually I met his family yesterday." I say.

"What!!" They both shout.

"They met you before we met him!" Anna says.

"I just wanted to know what I was getting myself in for before I told you guys."

"Oh please just tell us his name!!" Talia moans.

"Okay fine, his name is" I start but get interrupted as someone enters the kitchen. I turn to the door and I see a familiar face.

"Piss face?" I say shocked.

"Pissface?" Talia asks suspiciously.

"Beth, I didn't know you'd be here." Johnny days to me.

"Didn't expect to see you here either Johnny." I reply.

"Wait how do you know Johnny?" Talia asks.

"He's not your boyfriend is he?" Anna asks.

"Oh god no!!" I shout.

"Then how do you know him? And how do you know his nickname is Pissface? Only his brother calls him....." Talia stops as she realises how I know him.

"YOURE DATING ADAM GOODMAN!" They both shouted.

"Shhhh not so loud! But yes I am dating Adam. Now can you not pester me about him tonight, I just want to enjoy my night." I say as I walk out the kitchen.

"Sorry Beth, just enjoy your night and we won't ask you anything." Anna says to me.

"Thank you, now I am going to get super drunk and have fun tonight."

It gets to about 11:30pm and I am very very drunk. I am sat on the sofa talking to my friend from school I haven't talked to for ages then Johnny comes up to us.

"Hey Beth, can I talk to you?" He asks

"Umm yeah sure." I say following him to the kitchen.

He leans on the counter and I sit on the island opposite him.

"So what did you need to talk about?" I ask.

"I need to talk to you about my brother." He said.

"Okay, what about him?" I ask suspiciously.

"He loves you so much, he's been so much happier the past 3 months and you've changed his life for the better. I don't want to put any pressure on you but he will be absolutely heartbroken if you leave him."

"Oh wow. Thanks for telling me. I promise you I won't break his heart." I reply.

"Okay good, also there's something else." He says.

"What is it?" I question.

He stares at me for a few seconds and I look at him questionably. Then all of a sudden he is kissing me. What am I doing? I'm kissing my boyfriends brother!! I push him off me in shock and we don't say anything.

"Let's go back to yours, we can sort this out there." I say.

I say goodbye to Talia and tell Anna I'm going back to mine but someone is dropping me off. We jump into Johnnys car and head to his. We get into his flat and I jump onto the sofa, he pours a glass of wine then the next thing I know I've blacked out.
