Chapter 7: The Misunderstanding

Shaun's Point of View

My team mates were waving me their bids as I gave them smiles and nod,

 as I was changing to my white tee and a black joggers and with my pair of sneakers. 

"We will head first Captain" Sam said as he pat my shoulder and I gave him a nod "yah take care guys" I said as they replied me with their signature "Yes captain". 

I was fixing my things as I put them in my gym bag as the three Idiots entered the locker room "after all this years you really didn't rust Shaun" Migel said to me with his teasing attitude 

"why would I rust man, I even become the team's captain" I said with my smirk as he just laugh at me. 

I really want to brag about my achievements to Migel because he was the one who pushed me to pursue playing Volleyball, during our middle school I was so into playing volleybal but didn't try out because I was a shy kid back then, but he who incouraged  me to try out because that time  he said I have the potential.

 At first I didn't really believe what he said until he used one of my crush to persuade me to join the team and so I being a crush struck I joined without hesitation because I think that if I become one of the varsity she will like me back. 

But she studied in other city that day so I never have the chance to see her again.

"thanks to me you were doing what you like" he said as we walk out of the locker room 

"and thanks to you too I have experienced my first heart break"  I said but more like to myself, but he being close to me he heard it and he began to laugh his lungs out as I glared at him while Yohan and Ricky just looked at us confused, yeah well they really didn't know that I have a crush on Hailly because I have no intentions on telling them because I know that they will tease me about that, but unfortunately Migel found it out that bastard. 

"may I do the honor to tell them?" Migel said to me asking if he could tell them. Well even if I don't want it he will definitely going to tell them about it. 

"no you don't have" I said as he just laugh at me and started to tell them the reason. 

"well this guy here let's just call him Shaun, way back in the middle school he was such a shy baby, and he is very inlove with playing Volleyball but didn't want to join. And here comes the handsome guy well let's call him Migel who told him to join the team but Shaun didn't even hesitate to say no so Migel used his crush and let's call her Hai-" I cut him off as I said her name 

"her name is Hailly, so I joined the team thinking she might like me too but she studied in a different school, the end" I said as I sighed as I remember that memory again and that was one of the reason I am  still a single dude because I was dumbly waiting for her 

"What? I thought you joined the team because you want to get off in your comfort zone?" Yohan said with frown in his face 

as I sighed at him "I lied knowing you and most specially Ricky here is such a bully so I didn't told you guys" I said 

"but you told Migel?" Yohan said with a visible hurt in his face, this dude really is a drama queen sometimes 

"he found out Yohan I didn't told him" I said as he sighed 

"okay I forgave you this time but you need to tell me your were about's next time" Yohan said as he hugged me as I laugh at him being so dramatic 

"that was just a one thing and I told you about Nigel now so I guess that helps" I said as Migel interrupted our moment and that's the time I realized I am done. I don't know if Migel will accept me being not straight as he knows before 

"who is Nigel?" he said with his face demanding an answer

Ricky and Yohan just looked at me so I sighed "Migel I will tell you something but promise me you will not going to hate me" I said as he just frown at me 

"Migs I am dead serious, I see you as one of my brothers so I kinda want to not tell you." I said as he sighed and gave me a gentle smile and hugs me 

"Shaun I don't want you to keep secrets to me man because I see you as my little bro too like Yohan and Rickys. We were basically brothers not by blood but just brothers" he said as I just hugs him back and sighed as we broke to our hugging moment 

"there is this guy that I think I like, but it's not that long ago since I have known about it so I kinda think I ain't straight as a pole" I said as I sighed 

"what ever that suits you Shaun, always remember that we have your back, and tell me about this Nigel guy" Migel said as he pat my back and gave me a genuine smile 

I was about to tell who is Nigel, but Ricky said it first so I just glared at him as I let him inform Migel

"so he was the hot quarterback of the football team in our school" Ricky said as he looked at me teasingly as I glared at him 

"shut it Ricks" I said as I sighed at them laughing at me 

"ohh Shaun have a hots for a quarterback I see, so when do I gotta see this Nigel dude?" Migel said to me as he wiggled his eye brows to me as I kicked his thighs, he just laughed at me as they run away leaving me alone here. I sighed at them as a smile creeps in my lips because I kinda feel happy because I have them as my support system. 

"I think I gotta tell Mom and Dad about this matter too" I said to my self as I felt nervous thinking that I should inform my parents about my sexuality. I sighed as I walk away from the gym.
