Chapter 14: Puppy Love

after Shaun finished his business in the restroom he open the door as he was greeted by a pretty  little girl who is wearing a baby pink dress with shimmers around it and a pair of closed baby pink shoes. He doesn't really get to scan the little girl's appearance because he was too focused on the idea of he needs to pee so bad 

he gave the little girl a gentle smile  as he said "I don't have time to see your face awhile ago, and I am sorry for not saying how pretty you look with your dress"

the little girl's eyes widen as she heard what Shaun have said as she look away with a blush across her face 

"t-thank you" she said with a shy smile plastered in her lips. 

Shaun's eyes were now widen because he forgot to asked her name , the little girl look at him with confusion because he was looking at him like he wants to say something 

"what's bothering in your mind? you can tell me I won't say it to others" the little girl said as she gave Shaun an assuring smile 

Shaun scratched his back as he smiled at him shyly "I was just going to ask your name, I guess it will be as beautiful as you" he said giving the little girl a smile 

"my name is Cali Johnson, and you are?" Cali said as she  offered Shaun a hand to shake. 

" Shaun Rein, nice to meet you Cali" he said as he shook their hands 

they were lost in both of their eyes as Shaun appreciate Cali's eye color which is a light brown with some black spots mixed with it. So beautiful he thought

"Cali, there you are your mom is looking for you" a middle aged woman said as she saw the two kids looking at each other's eyes

the two broke with their eye contact as Cali look at the woman who called her and smiled at her "nanny can I take Shaun with me please" the little girl pleaded as his nanny look at her with a gently smile, and because she doesn't want Cali to be sad specially for tonight because it's Cali's birthday so she nod at her as Cali jump with excitement as she drag Shaun with her 

"Cali can you slow down a bit?" Shaun said as he slightly stop Cali so she can slow down

Cali looked at her with guilty eyes "I am sorry I was just excited " she said with sad look, Shaun sighed at her as he pulled her into his arms and gave her a hug

"I was just concern, you were running so fast what if you bump at people again and this time you will hurt yourself badly" he said while patting his back softly. Cali signed as she let go of Shaun's warm comforting hug 

"thank you" she simply said and gave Shaun a warm smile 

"let's go before your mom will be worried looking for you" Shaun said as they walk towards Cali's mother 

He was looking at the woman confused because he saw her a while ago talking with her parents 

"oh look whose with us today, nice to see you again young man" the woman said to Shaun with a smile 

"hello Mrs. Johnson" he said and gave her a smile 

"mom can I take Shaun with me infront?" Cali asked her mother with pleading look

Mrs. Johnson looked at her daughter as she noticed their hands were together as she just smiled and shook her head at her own child 

"why would I let you do that?" she said playfully at her child as Cali blushed 

"because he looks cute" she said as she look at Shaun for a while who is also looking at her with a smug look

her mother chuckled at her won daughter's antics "okay I will allow that, enjoy yourself tonight, and again nice meeting you Shaun" She said as she let the two walk away and enjoy their night 

the two kids were happily chatting about their lives like the basic stuffs like their favorite colors and their dreams when they grow old

"what do you want in the future when you grow up?" Shaun asked Cali as he was fixing his bow tie

"I wanna be with you when I grow up like my mom and dad" she said as she smiled at him shyly  Shaun look at him confused as he think of what Cali said 

"what about you?" Cali said as she look at Shaun 

"I guess I wanna make your future plans come true and be with you like what you want, I think I want it too" he said as he smiled at her as he take her hands to his own hands 

the two were oblivious about the other people cooing their cute little moments as they were so drown at each other 

"come with me I want you to meet my twin brother and my two best friends" Shaun said excitedly as Cali look at him with also excited pair of eyes 

"oh, before I forgot. Happy Birthday Cali" Shaun said with a smile as Cali mirrored his smile and gave him a smile "Thank you" she said  smiling  wide

"let's go? I'd like to meet them" she said as they went toward where his brother and best friends were 

"Hi guys" Shaun said to them as soon as he saw them as they look at him with a smile 

"who is that?" Ricky said as he look at Cali who is now  hiding behind Shaun

"oh this is Cali" he said as he look at Cali with assuring smile "Cali this is Ricky and that is Migel and lastly this is Yohan my twin brother I told you about" Shaun said to Cali who is now scanning Yohan's face 

"wow you really look alike, but I like you way more better"  Cali said to Shaun as he blushed 

after the party the two separate ways as they promise each other to see each other again 

the next day it was Monday as well as Shaun and Yohan's first day at school as they arrived at their school they spotted their two best friend who were running towards them as they gave each other fist bumps

as they were busy chatting an how they were very excited on how they will make their day Shaun's name is shouted by a little girl 

"Shaun!" Cali said as soon as he spotted Shaun as she run towards him 

"stop running Cali or you will hurt yourself" Shaun said to her as she just neglected his remarks as she jump him and gave him a hug 

"I can't help it, I miss you so much" she said as she is now let go of the hug as she face Shaun with her most beautiful smiles 

Shaun just shook his head as he smiled at Cali

"we just saw each other yesterday at your birthday party" he said still smiling widely 

"Exactly" Cali said as she holds Shaun's hands as they went inside the school
