Chapter 20: THE DATE

Shaun's Point of View

during our school days people are start making some gossips about Nigel and I, and some said that we were secretly dating but let me tell you that rumor is the dumbest rumor I have ever heard during school days 

First top is that why would be secretly dating if Nigel were publicly holding my hands and staring at me like a lovey-dovey dude IN PUBLIC!

and we were not dating yet so why say that we were secretly dating if we ourselves know that we were not yet dating! 

Nigel's teammates know about us liking each other and I didn't said it to my parents yet and also Nigel, because we think that it is not yet necessary to tell them if we were not yet together right? 

and I am glad that his parents were not the homophobic people 'cause if they were? it will be hard for the both of us. My parents already knows about me liking Nigel and as expected my mom is so happy about it but my dad is being the typical dad he is, he's been very protective about me lately because of what I said that Nigel likes me too as well as the news that we were having a date tonight 

"oh my baby is so handsome I am sure Nigel will fall head over heels for you"  my mom said as she enter my room 

"you sure about that mom?" I said playing with her

"why not? you really look handsome" Mom said glaring at me so I just chuckled at her instead of arguing with her more and we know that I won't win against my mother 

I am wearing a white long sleeve and a black tight jeans and a pair of my white sneaks, he said that I should wear casual so I did and to be honest I don't like wearing some formal cloths and I guess Nigel like that too since he said what to wear for our date 

"oh by the way where are you going with your date?" Mom asked while roaming my things 

I look at her from the mirror because I was busy taking care of my hair, gosh they were messy

"I don't know, he just said to wear casual I forgot to ask him where were going Mom" I said as I continue to fix my hair 

I heard a knock on my door as Yohan open it and look at me with mischief "your date is here should I ask him to go inside the house or not?" Yohan asked me while wiggling his brows 

"No I will head down now" I said as I grab my phone and wallet. I bring my wallet because dude why not.

I walk pass Yohan and walk down stairs I was about to open the door when Dad called me 

"yes Dad?" I said and walk towards him who is at the kitchen counter with his computer in front of him. He seems like a workaholic dad but he's not so don't worry about that 

"I just wanna remind you Shaun you are now a young adult so I suppose you know what you are doing, and I hate to say this but I guess I can't stop what will happen tonight I won't be watching you, but use protection okay?" Dad said with full serious face 

I blushed at what my father said because that was embarrassing, he is giving me  a talk about that thing and I am sure we won't do that yet, not yet

"yes dad and we won't have sex at our first date so you can release your breath dad" I said smiling at him and gave him a hug

"enjoy the night Shaun okay?" he said facing me with a smile 

"I sure will dad" I said and bid my goodbye and went to were Nigel is 

I saw him leaning against his black car while smiling brightly at me 

"Hi, you look so handsome tonight" he said eyeing me from head to my toes 

"you don't look bad yourself" I said giving him a smile. And I was not joking when I said it with his black muscle polo that is tuck in his white pants and some pair of white sneaks as well 

"it looks like we talk about what color we were wearing" I said while chuckling as he joined me too 

"shall we?" he said as he open the passengers seat for me as he hop in and started the engine 

"so...where are we going?" I said smiling at him while he glance at me for a second and focus his eyes on the road while smiling 

"in one of my favorite diner, but it will be a thirty minutes drive because it's a little far from the city" he said as I nod at him even if he's not going to see me nodding and went back looking outside of the car 

after the quiet but not awkward car ride we were here and looking at it it looks so relaxing with the trees around the diner 

"this place is nice, where did you know about this?" I asked Nigel as we hop out the car and walk towards the restaurant 

"my dad thought me this place" He said while he scratch his nape with a hit of blush in his face 

I chuckled at him because he is so cute, and I have never seen him at this state. And that is because we were not that super close before this thing we have, and I could say that we are not strangers to each other from the start because he is one of the athlete and Yohan and Ricky is on his team so we know each other 

"sure he did, and I am sure you brought someone special to you in this place before me" I said teasing him while we walk. I stopped walking because I felt that he stop walking to 

"why did you stop? is there a problem?" I said to him with concern 

"aside from my family, you were the first one that I have brought in here" he said as he looked straight in my eyes while smiling shyly 

gosh this man! I blushed as I walk towards the diner as I heard him chuckled at me
