Chapter 8: I'm Gay

I just wanna say that if you're really struggling about your sexuality, your parents should have the rights to know about it too, like yah they might not understand it for awhile but they will eventually. I understand that some parents neglect their child because of their sexuality,  but  that doesn't mean you need to go rebellious. I am saying this not because I need to say this but because I understand. I have gay friends. Lauv lots.

Shaun's Point of View 

Coming out is really a big thing like it really is scary, because I always think of what other people might think about me like if they will act weird around me or they might say something that will degrade me as a human being. 

But coming out to my parents is extreme, like it kinda in the next level kinda thing. It's like you were thrown in a dungeon with a lots of lions and other scary creatures, they might understand me but there is also a chance that they will neglect me as their son, and I don't want to disappoint my parents specially my dad. He kinda expect us to be a macho like him but I guess he might hate me because I turn out to be gay. 

I kinda think I wasn't straight when I was 10 but I didn't tell them because that time I also like Hailly, so I guess I am not. 

"dude relax, you looks like your about to faint chill Shaun, they will understand you" Yohan said as he pat my shoulder 

"thanks man" I said as I smiled at him, here goes nothing

Ricky and Migel went home because they said that this matter is a family matter so they doesn't want to intrude, well they said to tell them details tomorrow. 

as me and Yohan entered our house I took a deep breath and I saw my Mom preparing for our dinner. Yohan sensed I was too tense so he gave me a squeeze in my shoulders as he walk towards Mom 

"what's for dinner mom?" he asked as he gave her a kiss in her cheeks and a tight hug 

"Ravioli with meat and cheese, sweetheart. How was school boys?" she said as she looked at Yohan and turn her head to my direction giving me a comforting smile and that made me smile back as I relax my tensed self leaving out a sigh

"school is great as always mom, and Migel visited us at school" Yohan said as he looked at me 

"ohh that great how is he? I kinda missed that kid by the way, are he going to stay here for good or still going back to LA?" Mom said as she prepare the table with Yohan helping her 

"he was just having a week here mom, he will be back in LA soon for his studies" Yohan said as he looked at me and laughed as I looked at him confused, why does this crazy dude laughing at me. Because of Yohan laughing at me Mom looked at me and smiled at me as he shook her head like she be seeing something funny. 

"is my face funny?" I said with my more confused look, and that Yohan and Mom laugh out loud like what I said is really funny 

"no honey, we were just laughing because you were just standing at the door like your some kinda new in our house, come here Shaun what are you doing there" Mom said as I realized I was just standing at the door "oh, yah sorry for that" I said as I walk towards our kitchen as I saw Dad entering front door with his tired face. Should I tell them now or some other time? Dad really looks so tired, I guess this is not the right time
