Sophie had hoped that Keefe would have ran outside, picked her up, kissed her, and said "Of course! I love you too!". But she knew that was too crazy to happen, what she hadn't expected was that he wouldn't acknowledge it all. No yelling at her through his window. No text or call. Nothing. She had literally just asked him out. Stop worrying he just needs to think. That was kinda big.

But he hadn't even talked to her at school. He hadn't even acknowledged her at school. Sophie felt hurt but she sucked it up. She had done this to him for half a week; she deserved to experience it as well. Midterms were tomorrow though and she really didn't want her anxiety to mess her up on an exam.

"Keefe..." Sophie bit the inside of her cheek. Just suck it up and ask him already. "Didyouseemeatyourhouseyesterday?"

"What?" Keefe asked. He looked concerned. Gosh he's cute like that. Sophie shook her head. Concentrate!

"Did you see me at your house yesterday?"

He looked like he didn't want to answer. He's gonna reject me. He's gonna reject me. "Yes," He's gonna reject me. He's gonna reject me. "I'm just tired of excuses Soph, that's all." He might as well have slapped Sophie in the face.

"The last part?" She asked hopefully.

"What last part?" Sophie felt like an idiot. Why would he want to date her anyways? She didn't deserve him anyways. He was just too good for her.

"Well you really messed that up." Ro told Keefe as he walked to his first class.

"Oh shut up." Keefe was tired of excuses. He had enough of people hurting him. He stopped to look at Ro. "I'm tired of people blowing over me and my emotions."

Ro just laughed. "You didn't read her signs did you?"

"I read the first two and that was enough for me." Ro laughed even more. "What's so funny? They were probably just some lame excuses."

Ro finally stopped laughing. "Just ask her to show you signs, ok?"

"Fine." Keefe grumbled and went into his classroom. What could possibly be so special about some lame excuses?
