Searing pain in her arm and a bright glare from the now exposed moon was all Ally could focus on as she ran through the seemingly never ending undergrowth, nothing seemed familiar, only foliage in every direction Ally's legs were faltering, she couldn't run any further She fell against a fallen tree limb and whimpered for a while, she'd all but given up, she couldn't go on anymore... she was going to die here
Her right arm was still pumping with fresh blood, she was surprised that she hadn't lost feeling in it from the bite She remembered from the tour that it's venom would cause paralysis 'Maybe it's only when it spits' she thought.
Ally had been sitting on the soggy ground for at least a half hour, whimpering to herself quietly Until she saw a pair of shoes standing a few feet away, Ally looked up straight into the eyes of... Her dad?! "What are you doing down there? You'll get mud butt" he laughed

Ally looked up at him confused 'How the hell is he here!' Her thoughts were racing "This happened a few years ago when you went on that camping trip with that Brennan kid" Jack said, stuffing his hands into his pockets "What?" Ally asked, clutching her maimed arm close to her chest "You stormed off into the woods when they asked you to help put the tent up, I had to come looking for you when it got dark and I found you sobbing between two boulders" he said coming to stand beside his daughter "You had to take me home after you found me cause I'd wet myself" Ally couldn't help but chuckle at the memory, using the sleeve of her jacket to whip away her tears "Come on cutie" He cooed leaning down, gently flicking his forefinger against her grazed chin "I know you rather be face to face with a Daddysaurus than a Tyrannosaurus" he smiled
Ally looked up to her father with trembling lips and nodded, Jack rose back up holding his hand out for her to take Ally gripped his outstretched hand tightly, feeling her aching body rise up from the jungle floor
Once again, Ally was met with darkness Her dad was gone... but he was never even there
Then she realised, her dad was the only thing that kept her going She had to get out of here, she had to get home... she had to get back to her him and her brother All she wanted in that moment was to see Jack's soft puppy dog eyes, god she missed those eyes.
