Chapter 10 The Fence.

Jurassic Park 1990

A further few hours had passed since the Tyrannosaur dined on it's literal fast food in the field
Grant was holding Lex and Tim by the hand while Ally followed close behind, Grant had used his belt as a makeshift tourniquet and applied it to her forearm to stem the bleed
He'd even made a bandage out of her jacket

Ally's mind was wandering, she thought about her dad
He'd be back home by now, he'd be loosing his mind at the thought of something bad happening to her
Owen would probably be getting the blame, he always did.

Ally's daydreaming almost caused her to walk right into Grant's back when he'd suddenly stopped walking
In front of them was a huge perimeter fence, standing at least fifty feet high
They couldn't tell how long it was, it seemed to be endless

Grant knelt down and picked up an old dry branch, he stood up onto the thick stone structure holding the fence in place
He gently tossed the branch at the fence, but nothing happened
"Guess that means the powers off" Grant shrugged turning to face the three kids

Grant then did something unexpected, he reached his arms out towards the fence to hold onto it
"Are you sure about this?" Ally asked stepping forward, past the siblings
But she never got a response as Grant gripped the fence and began screaming, the fence shaking violently

Ally, Lex and Tim all screamed at the sight, thinking the palaeontologist was actually being electrocuted
But just as suddenly as it began, Grant stopped screaming and turned to look at the kids with a cheeky grin

"That's not funny" Lex huffed
"That was great!" Tim chuckled
Grant looked down at the stone wall to see Ally, legs crossed together and her head, her shoulders shaking slightly
She was almost in tears laughing at Grant's sick attempted humour "You are such an asshole" she laughed.

Grant looked back to the fence, attempting to pull apart the small strands of metal in between the the thick metal rails
All heads snapped in the direction they'd just come from as a deep, guttural growl came from beyond the trees... it was the Tyrannosaur 
Lex and Tim rushed towards the fence, already beginning to climb it

"Come on Ally we have to hurry!" Grant gestured to the girl now frozen in fear
"We have to climb it?! I can't! I can't do that!" She exclaimed, Grant picked her up under her arms and stood her in front of him
"Now listen, I know your scared of the fall more so than the height, but we need to get over before she realises that we're here!" Grant said, his hands placed on her shoulders

Ally took a deep, shuddering breath before throwing her arms up to the fence
Grant would occasionally stop to give Ally a slight push to help her keep moving when she'd completely seize up
"Mind your footing" Grant said, holding onto Ally's stained shirt to prevent her from falling as she climbed over the top of the huge fence.

"Dr. Grant!" Lex yelled from the bottom of the fence, she'd already climbed over the damn thing
"Timmy's foots caught and I can't get it out" she said
Grant looked at Ally, she was still moving so he decided to go help Tim

Not long after Grant had freed Tim's shoe from the small wires in between the fence, he'd jumped down to put the two siblings beside each other

A startlingly loud siren began to sound, making the two siblings jump
Ally screamed and almost completely lost her footing, but her hands gripped the fence tightly, almost painfully tight
"Ally come on, your gonna have to jump!" Grant yelled
"Are you out of your mind?! I'm not gonna jump!" Ally screamed, her breaths were more like short wheezes, her eyes full of tears

"Ok, I'm gonna come and get you" Grant turned around briefly to push the two siblings further away from the fence
When he turned back he watched in horror, as the fence came to life... and took Ally's life with it
Ally's body was tossed through the air like a small doll, Grant just barley catching her in his arms

"Is she ok?!" Lex asked, coming to stand over Dr. Grant
Grant looked up at Lex with horror, his blood running cold "She's not breathing!" He exclaimed
"Keep Tim over there, I don't want him to see this!" Grant said, shooing Lex back over to her brother

Grant wasted no time in applying p compressions to her small body
"Come on Ally, Don't do this" he said, his usually confident voice was beginning to break as he continuously pressed onto her chest and breathing air into her lungs
Grant couldn't let her die, he'd seen just how much Jack Grady loved his daughter, his only daughter mind
He couldn't bring back her corpse... she had to live.

Lex began to cry as she held Tim close to her.

"Come on Ally!"
She suddenly coughed dryly, her eyes flew open as air once again filled her lungs
"Good girl, good girl" Grant cooed, pulling her up into his arms
Grant laughed as he smoothed down her dirty hair, but then he saw her ears
They were burned and blooded along with her hands

Ally's senses slowly began to return and she felt a spreading warmth in her pants, she'd peed herself
She was simultaneously embarrassed and terrified, Grant tore his red bandana in half and rapped a piece around both of her scorched palms

"Come on, we need to get you a doctor" Grant said, putting his hands underneath her arms and hoisted her up to rest on his hip
Ally rested her head in the crook of Grant's neck, her legs wrapped around his waist.

They were close to the visitor centre, Grant knew it and when he saw the huge rotund shape come into view, he sighed in relief
They were gonna be alright, they were gonna go home

Ally's Not Having A Good Weekend Is She

But What's Gonna Happen Next? Surly The Worst Is Behind Them
