14 - coughing

- steven pov -

it was the next morning and was still not feel like getting out of bed for no body , last night garent had to carry me to the bathroom because i didnt want to get up . i sigh and hear the medicine alarm went off , i try to stop it with my shoulder but i failed on that part .soon amethyst cam up the stairs she probably hear my medicine alarm went off, she went to it and turn it off then she got my medicine ready and gave to me , I toke it and drink water after .
Amethyst " better "
I nodded some , amethyst hug me and I hug back , then she went down stairs . For some reason I started coughing bad like I did when white pull out my gem , I forget that memory and drink water .
Connie " Steven hey , I was wounding if you want to go skating with me "
I nodded my head , Connie smile and went back down stairs so I can change , luckily pearl got out my clothes last night ready , I got dressed and then put on my crutch I sit on the bed for Connie to see if I'm ready .
Connie came back up the stairs and smile .
Connie " ready to go ? "
I nodded and try to flap my shoulder but my crutch make a sound when I do , Connie laugh and let me go first then she goes and we met  my dad outside .
Greg " Steven you looking better , so Connie where to I'm asking you be Steven don't feel like talking "
Connie " oh right to the skating ring please "
Dad help  me in the van and shut the door , he turn back to Connie and smile .
Greg " how will he skate with his crutch "
Connie " don't worry I can replace the bottom of the crutch I for a wheel for him so it be easy for him to skate "

They got to the skating rink , Steven remember the place very well this is where he fall on his face in front of Connie school friends .
Connie " Steven you all set "
Steven look at his feet and the bottom of his crutch , then his stomach growls and so did connie's . Connie giggle and help Steven up and over to the food court .
Connie " what you want steven "
She waited a few minutes finally he did speak some , Steven look at the paper menu .
Steven " c....corn....corndog"
Connie " ok and for drink "
Steven " ....wa...water "
Connie nodded and went to get the food place , while she was gone Steven cough hard and then a flash back hit him of that night where he was going to take Connie for the date it was here then he froze .
~flashback ~
The week before everything happen .steven was pacing back and forth Lion was sleeping on his bed and Steven being a wreck . Amethyst came up and saw Steven .
Amethyst " bro you ok "
Steven look at his pal " nooooo I'm trying to deside where to take Connie for the date "
Amethyst " what you have down "
Steven " skating rink and then dinner "
Amethyst " I say dinner first and then skating rink it be"
Steven smile " thanks amethyst "

Connie " Steven .... Steven "
Steven was back in the real world , Connie was eating an curly friedwhile waiting for our food , I breath in and out then I grab a fried.
Connie " you ok , did you had a flashback "
Steven nodded and continue eating on his fried slowly , Connie hear the number get call and she got up and grab the food , she came back with our food and we ate . The rest of the time Steven and Connie skated and have fun .
