Meredith's POV:

After work, I stopped by my apartment for a quick shower and to throw some clothes in a bag. Cristina wasn't yet home from school (she and I were both in our last year of med school. I chose to work and do school part time, she chose to do school full time) so I made quick work of my shower.

I threw some clothes in my bag, just some jeans and some pyjamas and a few random tops. Of course, I took the time to pack some cute underwear that I actually had the matching bras to (a luxury when I tend to be so unorganized). A quick trip to the bathroom to grab my toothbrush, deodorant, hair brush and my basic make up bag completed my packing, and I was ready to go.

It felt weird going to her house empty handed; this was our first official weekend together, and I wanted her to know that I appreciated her wanting to spend time with me. So, naturally being the Casanova I am, I stopped at the florist before going to Addison's.

I couldn't remember the last time I was this nervous.

Addison's POV:

I was nervous. I wasn't sure why; I had made it clear that what Meredith and I had was just for fun.

But...maybe it wasn't. Meredith heard me, she saw me, and it made me feel special. No matter what I was doing or how I looked, she always found a way to make me feel extraordinary.

When the doorbell rang, I anxiously ran to check and make sure my hair was just right before answering it. When I was satisfied, I quickly rushed to open the door with a smile.

"Meredith" I say, opening the door to reveal her standing there, her bag in one hand and a dozen roses in the other. Her hair was damp, but she was smiling and she looked genuinely happy to see me.

"Hello gorgeous" she steps inside, leaning in to kiss my cheek delicately as she closed the door behind her. "These are for you"

The butterflies in my stomach were gone mad; my heart was bursting with just this simple action. It meant the world to me.

"Oh, someone's looking to get lucky tonight" I joke, taking them with a smile to bring them to my nose. "They smell amazing, thank you so much. I'll have to get a vase and some water for them" I gesture for her to follow me to the kitchen.

"You're a beautiful woman who deserves beautiful flowers" she tells me, making my cheeks burn as I opened a cabinet in search of a vase.

"You're too good to me, you know" I can't stop the smile that spreads on my face, as I fill the vase up with water. "I'm thinking we can order Chinese for dinner, and watch a movie. Anything in mind?" I ask, placing the vase on the counter.

"Chinese sounds good" she agrees with a nod "as for a movie, I don't really know. What do you recommend?"

I think for a moment; I'll admit, I watch a lot of movies. In the three hours between Riley's bedtime and the time Derek gets home, I have a lot of time to myself to sit back with some wine and a movie, just myself.

"How about Grease?" I suggest "it's one of my personal favourites. I like musicals; Mamma Mia! is my second favourite" I admit with a sheepish grin.

"That sounds wonderful" she agrees with a smile "I'll order the food, you set up the movie, this is officially a go" I chuckle, and nod in agreement.

Within an hour, the food was at the door and the movie was ready to go. I cracked open a bottle of red wine, and we both got comfortable on the couch in our pyjamas.

"This is nice" I sigh, leaning back into her as the movie began "it's relaxing"

"It is" she agrees "being around you makes me feel on top of the world"
