The howling wind strolled through the air of Daegu. South Korea's weather was dropping by the hour, leaving the once busy streets empty and cold. Yoongi let the wind brush across his face, leaving a red tint on his cheeks and nose. The rain heavily poured onto the concrete. Yoongi's black headphones were plugged in, loud music playing into his ears, his hoodie over him to protect his black locks from getting wet. His dark eyes wandered, observing the familiar roads of Daegu. Finally, he came in contact with his home.

The outside of the apartment was wrecked. The white pavement was beginning to chip off, trash lay all over the place, and even graffiti was on the side of the connected building. Grabbing the key from his pocket, he opened up the door. A wretched smell of alcohol and dust filled his nose as he walked further into the one room complex. Yoongi threw his phone off to the side before taking his sweatshirt off and replacing it with a black T-shirt that hung low, revealing his deep collarbones. After a dreadful day at school, all Yoongi wanted to do was rest. He shut his eyes, waiting for the tiredness to overtake him, but before it could, hunger did.

His stomach growled lowly. Ignoring it the first few times, he eventually forced himself to get up. Rummaging through the mini fridge, all he found was a moldy, half eaten sandwich and an empty bottle of soju.

Are you fucking kidding me.

Sighing, he threw his sweatshirt back on before heading back out. Yoongi made his way towards a small convenience store a few blocks away. Despite having been just outside a few minutes ago, Yoongi felt chillier than he previously had. Hearing his stomach growl again, he began to walk a bit faster.

Ding.

Yoongi walked into the store, bowing to the cashier before noticing no one was there. He made his way towards the ramen aisle, hoping to find something cheap. "6000 won just for a single box? Are you kidding?" Yoongi groaned, searching for something else.

"Can I help you?" A cheery voice soon asked, startling Yoongi as he dropped the box of ramen in his hand. "Sorry," the boy laughed, picking up the fallen box.

"No it's fine," Yoongi said, not sparing another glance towards him. The man eyed Yoongi, seeing his baggy black sweatshirt, the hoodie covering his forehead, making his eyes barely visible. His pink lips were parted as he carefully read the prices, long fingers scanning through as he did. His shoes had holes in them, the white socks he was wearing peeking through.

"Are you from around here?" The boy asked, careful not to mention anything about his appearance. "Or visiting?"

"I should be the one asking you that," Yoongi calmly stated. "Your dialect is different."

"I'm from Gwangju!" He said happily. "Which type of ramen are you looking for?"

"Ah... something cheaper that 6000 won," Yoongi told him, still not willing to make eye contact. The man stepped beside Yoongi, looking at the prices as well.

"Business has been pretty slow," he said. "So manager lifted the prices. That way we can make even a bit more money. I can pay if... you can't?" This made Yoongi look at the man peering down at him with a bright smile. He was around Yoongi's age and had red hair trimmed neatly with his bangs laying flat on his forehead. His mouth formed two dimples as he smiled cutely, his perfect teeth peaking out. He had on his work attire, a small yellow flower hanging on his vest above his ID.

Jeong Ho Seok.

"That's fine," Yoongi said, heading for the exit. "But thank you."

"Wait!" Hoseok called out. "I'm being serious. I'm always willing to help the homeless out."

"Homeless?" Yoongi said through his teeth. "Did you just call me homeless?"

"Are you not-? I'm sorry, you just..." Hoseok stopped talking before pissing Yoongi off further.

"I just what?" Yoongi growled. "Mind your fucking business. I don't need your pity."

"I'm not pitying you," Hoseok said. "Just wanted to help and it's my bad, I guess I assumed too quickly." Yoongi calmly turned to him, seeing the red haired boy now looking at the ground in regret.

"You're not that off," Yoongi chuckled lowly. "Just hurts having to hear it from someone else." Hoseok didn't lift his head, but Yoongi saw him nod his head in understanding.

"I'm sorry," Hoseok repeated quietly, this time lifting his head. Yoongi shrugged.

"It is what it is," he laughed. "Is it okay if I pay the store back sometime?" Hoseok happily grabbed a few boxes from the shelf and handed it to Yoongi.

"Here, take these. Eat them well, yeah?" He smiled.

"I don't need these many," Yoongi laughed, putting a few back. "I have to pay bills and my school fee."

"It's fine," Hoseok smiled. "Just take them. I won't tell manager." Yoongi gave him a small smile back.

"Uh... eat with me then?" He asked awkwardly. Hoseok nodded, seeing his shift was about to end anyways.

"Ah, I'm Hoseok by the way. Jung Hoseok."

"I know," Yoongi grinned, flicking the small silver pin on Hoseok's vest with his name on it. "I'm Min Yoongi."

Y'all this is so ass I'm sorry LMFAO but I do have some ideas in mind, I just need to find out how to relay them into the story, BUT I hope you like it so far! Hoseok is babie, I love him so much 🥺
