It was a beautiful Saturday morning and Jimin just finished showering. A simple, pink floral towel was wrapped around his waist, low enough to reveal the beginning of his V line. Walking out of his room, he saw his charging phone light up.

TaeTae🥵: hey, how are you?

Jimin's heart dropped seeing the younger's name pop up on his screen. He put his phone back down, in no mood to talk to him, only for it to light up again.

TaeTae🥵: can we meet up? I wanted to talk to you

Jimin: I'm busy.

TaeTae🥵: chim, please? it's important :(
TaeTae🥵: plus we haven't been hanging out a lot. I miss my best friend!

The title 'best friend' made Jimin grip his phone tightly, doing his best not to throw it at the ground. Despite being friends even after Taehyung rejected him, Jimin didn't act the same towards him. It was hard to and his heart ached each time the younger would try and be friendly, but Jimin's feelings still resided within him. He was hoping the lack of communication between them would lead Taehyung to realize they were never going to be the same, but obviously the ignorant younger didn't seem to take notice. Jimin's face went red, somewhat angry but also embarrassed that being the elder in the relationship, he was acting like this. He was ignoring, avoiding, and pushing Taehyung away only for one message asking him to meet up give Jimin hope all over again that maybe, maybe this time he'd be willing to give him a chance.

Jimin: when and where?

TaeTae🥵: soon? I'll come get you.

Jimin: k

Although Jimin definitely wasn't a dry texter, he wanted Taehyung to know he was still upset. Satisfied, Jimin set his phone down and went to go get dressed.

Taehyung showed up around 30 minutes after the last message and knocked on the door. Jimin opened it, revealing the well dressed Taehyung standing outside. His hair was currently blonde, always changing, and was held up by a solid black bandana. His outfit was casual, a black sweater with a white button up underneath, the collars from it peaking out. His black jeans were belted with a sparkly gold one to contrast the darkness of his outfit. Jimin on the other hand wore a blue denim jacket over jeans and a white t-shirt. His silver hair was pushed back naturally and he topped it all off with a pair of black sunglasses. "Let's go," Jimin walked passed Taehyung and to the passengers seat's side of the car. Taehyung slowly turned around and watched Jimin hastily get in. He soon followed and sat down in the driver's seat. "So where we going?" Jimin crossed his arms.

"I was hoping we could go out and eat?" Taehyung was hesitant. "Not like a da-"

"Ok," Jimin almost choked on his words, not wanting him to finish that sentence. He just wanted Taehyung to start driving. Taehyung soon put the car in reverse and they were on their way.

The car stopped near a small restaurant. Taehyung got out quickly, tripping over himself as he did, to open Jimin's door. Jimin still had his arms crossed, but lightly chuckled seeing Taehyung so desperate. The car door opened, and Jimin undid his belt, getting out. Taehyung ran to catch up to Jimin, opening the restaurants door for him, and even going as far as to pulling Jimin's seat out for him. Jimin mumbled a thank you making Taehyung grin. "Order what you want, I'm paying," Taehyung pointed at the menu. Jimin began to look through the different choices, not noticing Taehyung's eyes staring at him full of delight.

Like any other restaurant, the waiter took their order and left the two alone once more. "So what was so important?" Jimin asked, rolling his head back. Taehyung sighed heavily.

"I just missed you," he looked at his fiddling fingers. "We haven't gone out together so I just wanted to see you."

"I see," Jimin put both his elbows on the table, his face on his palms. His phone light up again.

Yoon: jiminnnn
Yoon: Hoseok and I wanna go out, you busy?

Jimin: I'm not home rn ☹️

Yoon: fuck, ok. when will you be home?

Jimin: I'm not sure. When are you guys going out?

Yoon: I was thinking soon, but it's fine. Next time?

Jimin: sure
Jimin: why don't you two hang out alone?

Yoon: yeah, ok. what're you doing?

Jimin: uhh, I'll explain later
Jimin: Love you, talk to you in a bit

Yoon: bye

"Who's so important that your fingers kept typing?" Taehyung laughed. Jimin put his phone down, looking up at Taehyung.

"Yoongi," he answered.

"Is it serious? I can take you..." Taehyung grabbed his keys.

"No no, it's fine," Jimin calmed him. "I told him I was busy anyways." Taehyung slowly sunk back into his seat.

"Okay..." he murmured. "How is he by the way?"

"He's fine," Jimin played with his fork. "Same as always."

"And that new kid?" Taehyung referred to Hoseok. "Told me you guys are all super close."

"Yeah, we are," Jimin smiled at the thought of Hoseok's contagious laugh and smile. "He's cool." Taehyung's body filled with jealousy seeing the way Jimin smiled to himself as he thought about Hoseok. But he thought wrong.

"So you like him?" Taehyung questioned. "Hoseok, I mean."

"Dear god no," Jimin protested. "He's a wonderful friend to me! Really fun to be around. He's also an amazing dancer and the only other person aside from me that can actually make Yoongi smile. Honestly him and Yoongi are my best friends—" Jimin cut himself off seeing Taehyung's head drop down. A small tear dripped onto the ceramic plate in front of him, and he quickly wiped his face to look back at Jimin. "Taehyung, what..."

"I'm fine." The food arrived a few minutes into their silence. The waiter carefully placed the food onto the table before hurrying out of the tense environment. Neither spoke for what seemed like forever. Taehyung's plan to hang out with Jimin seemingly ended in the worst way possible. The rest of the lunch was them eating in quiet, eventually getting accustomed to the tense air. The only time Taehyung spoke after was asking for the bill. Walking to the car, Jimin couldn't take the awkward silence between them any longer.

"Taehyung," Jimin called out to him, his voice small. "I didn't mean it like that... You know you're one of my best friends too, right?" Taehyung didn't answer, but he waited to Jimin to keep talking. "It's been hard, if I'm going to be honest with you," Jimin began. "I seriously liked you, and of course I wanted to stay friends. I thought I could, but each time I look at you, I want to grab your face and kiss you like you've never been kissed before... and maybe more." Taehyung stopped walking and turned to Jimin, his dark eyes glaring at him as he kept talking. "You still are one of my best friends, but Yoongi and Hoseok... they're different. I couldn't fall in love with them the way I did with you," Jimin proceeded, spilling what he's been wanting to tell Taehyung since that day. "I hoped that I could look over it and eventually the feeling would just vanish, but it still hasn't. And I don't think it ever will."

"Come on," Taehyung grabbed Jimin's arm, the denim wrinkling in the spot he was being held. He shoved Jimin into the passengers seat, and before Jimin could process anything of what was going on, Taehyung zoomed out of the parking lot and back to his house. He unlocked the front door, taking his coat off before turning to a shy Jimin again. "God Jimin, if you wanted to fuck me, you could've just asked."
