The sunlight bore into the room through the curtains. Jimin was first to wake up and checked the clock on the nightstand. 6:47 am. Classes started around 8 am for him today, and his headache was telling him his plans did not include going. He rolled over, grabbing his phone and checking his messages until the other boys woke up. Jimin soon heard shuffling from the bed, and Hoseok was up. Groaning loudly, he asked, "Is anyone up?" his voice raspy and deep. Jimin turned around, putting his chin against the end of the bed to reveal his puffy face to Hoseok.
"Good morning Hobi," Jimin chimed. "Are you hungry?" Hoseok nodded, his messy hair flopping as he did.
"Hungry," he repeated laying back down. "Headache." Jimin rushed up to get him a glass of water and some medicine for the both of them. "Thanks. Is Yoongi up?" Jimin shook his head no.
"He usually sleeps a bit more," Jimin gulped down the pill and water. "Come down, I'll make breakfast." Hoseok got up, legs shaking as he did. The hangover was horrible and he definitely didn't plan on drinking for a while. It was like he was traumatized from the aftermath of it.
Jimin wrapped the apron laying against the counter around his waist and started cooking breakfast. Hoseok watched him focus on making sure he wasn't burning anything while simultaneously handling other things. "So you live here alone?" Hoseok tried to start up a conversation. Jimin nodded, cutting up tomatoes for the omelet. "Must be lonely since Yoongi lives off campus," he went on. Jimin looked up, brows furrowed.
"You've already been to his house?" He asked.
"Nah, he stopped by where I work and said it was close to his home," Hoseok answered. "And it's about 20 minutes away from the school so I assumed he lived off campus." Jimin slowly nodded looking back down at the knife and tomatoes.
"So where do you live?"
"Not too far from work," Hoseok told him. "Like 15 minutes from the train station." Jimin didn't proceed to ask anything else.
"Here," he set the plate down after a couple more minutes. Jimin poured some orange juice into Hoseok's glass and sat down across from him. They again sat and ate in silence until Yoongi's loud footsteps were heard walking out from the room.
"Yoongi!" Hoseok exclaimed. "Morning." Yoongi didn't answer and sat down next to Jimin. Jimin mouthed Hoseok a 'he's cranky' before leaving to get Yoongi's plate of food from the microwave.
"Thanks," Yoongi said as Jimin set the plate in front of him. The time now read 7:12 am and the two boys looked drowsy as fuck. He wasn't sure they would agree to skipping, especially Yoongi, since the last time they did, they coincidentally missed review day and almost failed their finals. Kind of like it was karma.
"Hey uh," Jimin set his fork down. They didn't answer, but Jimin knew they were forced to listen either way. "School got cancelled today." This caught their attention.
"What're the odds," Hoseok set his glass down. "Why?" Yoongi turned to a panicked Jimin.
"They uh," Jimin's face flushed a light pink. "Okay never mind that. I just don't think we should go today. I don't feel well."
"Your head still hurt?" Hoseok asked. "You can stay home."
"Let's all stay home... for reconstruction," Jimin tried to convince him.
"What does reconstruction have to do with this?" Hoseok continued to eat.
"Emotionally," Jimin quickly spit out without thinking. "You know like for our body and mind."
"Jimin?" Yoongi called his name.
"Hm?"
"Never say that gay shit again." Hoseok choked on his food, trying to hold in his laughter. Jimin just sighed, happy the two agreed with him.
