Cat Chapter 13

Chapter 13 – Mad

"Pardon the intrusion..." The Kakushi called as they stepped into the main Butterfly estate. "Pardon the intrusion..."

"Looks like nobody's coming out at all." The second Kakushi, the one with Nezuko's box, said.

"Shall we check the garden?"

"Ah, there's someone." The first Kakushi said.

In front of them was a young girl with large gentle pink lilac eyes framed by thick eyelashes. She has thin black hair tied in a ponytail to the right side of her head with a butterfly ornament. She was wearing a slight purple tinted version of the slayer's uniform, but with a knee-length skirt instead of Hakama pants. Over this, she wears a short white cloak fastened on one side by a dark pink triple knot.

"That's, uhhh, yeah, you're supposed to call her the 'Tsugoko'." The second Kakushi replied.

"Tsugoko?" Tanjiro asked. Hotaru carefully hoisted him a bit up on her back. "What's a Tsugo...ko.."

"That's Tsuyuri Kanao-sama."

"The Hashira personally look after the Tsugoko." The Kakushi explained. "She wouldn't have been chosen if she didn't have considerable talent and excellent standing. She's a girl, but she's amazing."

Hotaru glance back at the kid on her back and smirk at his dazed expression.

The second Kakushi step forward. "We came under Kocho-sama's orders. Can we enter the estate?"

The young girl just smiled at them.

"Can... We?" The Kakushi started sweating.

She was just smiling.

"We can right..? Ummm... Uhh.." The Kakushi panicked.

"Who are you?!"

Someone suddenly shouted from behind them making the two Kakushi scream. Hotaru almost dropped Tanjiro if not for his vice grip on her haori.

"Uhh... Kocho-sama..." The Kakushi fumbled.

"Are you Kakushi?" The girl with deep blue intense eyes said. She has straight black hair with parted fringes and twintails in two butterfly clips. Her slayer uniform was slightly tinted blue with a white nurse dress on top of it. "He's hurt right? Come with me." She said, refering to Tanjiro, before walking away.

Tanjiro look back to the still smiling Tsugoko as they followed the fast walking woman, and Hotaru can't help teasing him.

"Someone's got a crush~"

"No– I–" Tanjiro blushed.

Hotaru rolled her eyes with a chuckle. How cute...

"SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME BETTER!!" They heard a familiar whining and screaming. "WHATS GONNA HAPPEN IF I GOT HURT FROM DRINKING THIS ONCE?!?!"

"That noisy guy..." Their guide nurse fumed as she went straight to the screaming guy.

Tanjiro felt like he was dumped with relief as he saw the familiar pathetic looking boy. "Zenitsu..!"

"Please be quiet!" The angry nurse shouted at Zenitsu's face making him cower. "I've explained this to you countless times already! I'll tie you up if you don't knock it off!"

She stormed off fuming while Zenitsu was left sobbing on his blanket. Hotaru approached them with a deadpan.

"Zenitsu!" Tanjiro called.

Zenitsu screamed at the sudden call since he didn't know they were there, before he started crying again while clinging onto Hotaru's haori.

"Tanjiro, hear me oouuutttt! I got stabbed by this stinky spider and it hurts a looot–"
