Cat Chapter 15

"Our life forces will wHAT?! It's just the sun, are we demons or some shit?!" Hotaru almost screamed.

Sanzo felt really tired. "No we're not demons–"

"We'Re gOinG tO die–"

"We are NOT dying." Sanzo look at her pointedly and she immediately shut her mouth.

Yeah, got a bit out of character there. She glared back at him. "Explain, you fucknugget."

"You need to learn about everything about us anyway." Sanzo sigh as he motioned for her to come with him. "Follow me, and stop with the ridiculous nicknames, will you? They're lame." They rounded a corner, then another corner, into the forest, slowly getting farther away from the butterfly estate.

Hotaru made a face. "No they're not." They went somewhere deep in the woods and Hotaru started to mentally pray for 'accidents' not to happen.

"They're stupid and lame."

"They're not."

"They are."

"They're not."

"They are– we're here."

Hotaru look around and only saw trees, rocks, some boulders, trees, grass and oh look– trees.

"Where exactly in the forest are we?" She asked.

Sanzo sat on a boulder, and Hotaru made her way to the one opposite to him. "In a secluded one, you ugly salad."

Hotaru actually grinned. "And you said my nicknames were lame–"

"Will you let me explain shit or not?"

Hotaru cleared her expression into a blank one in an instant. "Start talking."

Sanzo observed her for a moment, how her back immediately straightened and how the air around her changed into a serious one. He took a deep breath. "I'll be explaining from the start."

"We're not the first ones here."

Hotaru's eyes widen in shock, but she didn't interrupt. The man mentally praised her for that.

"Five hundred years ago was when the first persons arrived here."

"Persons?" Nevermind, she did interrupted. Sanzo's eyebrow twitched.

"Yes, persons. Three of them actually. Now don't interrupt me. Or you won't get any explanation." He snapped.

"What temper." Hotaru snorted. She raised her hands in a surrendering gesture when he shot her a heated glare. He continued.

"The first people, Akasena Shioni, Kuramose Haru, and Tadashi Shomei. They came here also just after dying when their dorms caught on fire. You came here to just after you died, right?" She nodded. "Yeah, every person brought here had somehow died. I was murdered." She made a face, but he waved it off.

"Kuramose Haru was an owl shifter. Extremely active at night. He was the spy and information gatherer of the group. He's extremely good in undercover stuff and the reason why they weren't discovered by anyone.

"Tadashi Shomei, the panther. He was the brute, the force and the brick of the three. He's also the shield, and would absolutely tear down anyone that comes closer to our secrets.

"Akane Shioni, the only female of the three, was the deer shifter. She, along with Kuramose, were the brains and the strategists. No one knew what she look like, but from what was passed down, she was as beautiful as a goddess.

"Over the years, they managed to hide their existance to everyone, even to that man. No one know that they were from Before, and no one know about our knowledge. No one, but us fellow shifters. Our long time goal was to just live, no revealing to others what we know, and where we came from.
