She'll smile, she'll laugh,
But there's no joy in her eyes,
Her heart pleads for help,
But her words are full of lies.
She won't tell a soul,
For fear of rejection,
So she fights all alone,
With no vocalization.
He's all by himself
Hasn't slept in a week,
He tries to move on,
But he's feeling defeat.
His friends joke around,
Not a care in the world,
But they hold him to the ground,
and he doesn't say a word
She's losing all hope,
And she looks perfectly fine,
She goes through the motions,
Not a step out of line.
He wanders about,
With black under eyes,
Yet no one will notice,
'Til the day that he dies.
Read the stories in her scars,
Before you decide on the ending,
Find the crack in his heart,
Before you try mending.
Walk a mile in their shoes,
Before you decide that they fit,
And simply look around,
You'll find them in a bit.
