Chapter 16: sleepover

Zane's PoV

Aphmau had invited me to another one of her sleepovers, I didn't mind because she's my friend, I just don't like anything to do with people and social interactions.

Even though I didn't like it, I still accepted her offer. She's always been there for me, I feel like I need to repay her somehow.

I packed my bag, throwing everything I needed into it. The final thing I needed was my pinkie cake figure, so I got up to go find it.

Once I found it I carefully placed it into my bag. Zipping it up after.

I got changed and fixed my hair and mask.

When I was ready I walked out of my front door, towards Aphmau's house.

Time skip

I arrived there a few minutes later and knocked on the door.

I was greeted by a small, raven haired female, who I also called my best friend.

"Zane!" She exclaimed, pulling me into a tight hug

"Hi..." I groaned

She pulled away and giggled.

" oh cmon Zane... Tonight I want to be an ultimate girls sleepover, with cupcakes, and ponies, and fun, and girl talk, and more cupcakes, and you're going to enjoy it weather you like it or not!!!!!" She exclaimed even louder

I laughed at her liveliness.

Before I knew it I was being dragged upstairs by my wrist.

When we got to her room, I put down my bag and joined Aphmau sitting on the floor.

" so Zane, wanna play ponies?" She asked exited

" sure," I said grabbing my pinkie cake out of my bag

She also went and got her rarity one.

Time skip

After about half an hour of playing ponies with Aphmau, kawii~chan walks in the room holding a tray of cupcakes.

"Here Aphmau~senpai, kawii~chan baked the cupcakes she asked for, for her and Zane~kuns sleepover!" The pink haired Meif'wa girl squealed, in her usual happy voice

" thanks kawii~chan!" Aphmau said going to get them from her

Kawii~chan left and Aphmau started eating cupcakes. I took off my mask and ate with her.

"Soooo Zane, how about we have some girllll talk," she said

"Oh god here we go," I said, rolling my eyes

She giggled and carried on.

" so who do you likeeee?" She asked in a very annoying tone

"What do you mean by like?" I asked, sighing annoyed

"Loveeeee," she said

" can you stop with that," I said

She giggled again.

"So?" She asked again

"I... don't know," I said

"Oh come on!" She said wanting an answer

Truth is I didn't know who i love, or even if I love anyone. I've always been alone, for practically my whole life, only ever allowing people like Aphmau in occasionally, I always pushed everyone else out. Even if I did love anyone, I'm sure they wouldn't return my feelings. That's just how it is, I'm that one person who is lonely forever.

"Hello earth to Zane," Aphmau said waving a hand in front of my face

"Yeah," I said snapping back to reality

She smirked at me.

"You and travisss?" She said, sounding like a question

"What about him?" I asked

"Are you two a thing?" She asked, the smirk still not leaving her face

" w-what no," I said, I felt my face heat up

"And why is your face so red huuuuu?" He teased

"I- I don't know," I said

She giggled.

"Zane, it's fine if you like him that way, we all have crushes, you two would be so cute together," she said causing my face to go even redder

"Can I be honest with you?" I sighed

"Of course!" She chirped happily

" no we're not a thing and I don't know if we ever will be. I don't even know if I like him that way, a few days ago I never even spoke to him and now saying I'm in love with him, I mean what even is love?" I said, explaining all my thoughts

" well what do you feel around him?" Aph asked me

" I guess...safe...in a way," I said slowly

" how about you give it time, you'll know eventually and you can always come to me if you need advice," she said comfortingly

" thanks," I said, smiling at her

She smiled back.

Time skip

A few more cupcakes, ponies and chatting later, we were finally tired.

Aphmau had already fallen asleep, on her purple sleeping bag. Me soon to be joining her in dream land.
