Chapter 32: like or love?

Travis's PoV

I woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs, but as I opened my eyes i noticed I wasn't in my bed. In fact I wasn't in my house.

I sat up and tried to remember what happened yesterday. The last thing I remember was...the sleepover and walking back with Zane. Am I in Zane's house right now?

I heard the door slowly creek open and I saw the familiar raven haired male walk in.

"Hi," he said

"H-hI," I said back

"Irene you're almost as bad as Garroth," he rolled his eyes

"H-hey! you get nervous around the people you l-like," I turned red once I realised what I had just said

"You like me?" He asked

"Y-yeah," I said

My heart raced and my face heated up even more.

"Heh that's cute," he said then he walked out the room motioning me to follow him

I slowly got up and walked out the room. Does he really think I'm cute?

I walked down to the kitchen, where he went and sat down at the table.

Soon after he brought a plate of food over and placed it down in front of me.

"Sorry if it tastes bad," he said, Sitting across the table from me

I took a bite out of the food, as I did my eyes lit up.

"This tastes amazing!" I Exclaimed, shoving more into my mouth

"Calm down," he said

Time skip

After we finished eating, we sat in silence, until I decided to speak up.

"S-s-"

"So, Travis," he interrupted me

"Y-yeah?" I questioned

Darn it why do I keep stuttering.

"Wanna go to the park with me?" He questioned

"S-sure," I said

Time skip

Me and Zane got changed before leaving out. Of corse I had to go home to change first.

We decided to walk, since it wasn't that far away.

When we got to the park it was almost completely empty, wonder why?

I shrugged it off and took a seat Under neath a tree. Soon after, Zane came to join me.

"T-Travis can I tell you something?" He was stuttering too now

"Sure," I said

"I-I l-lik-"

He was cut off by the sound of thunder.

"Ahh," he screamed

"You ok?" I asked

He nodded.

Thunder struck again, this time sounding closer.

Zane screamed again, he close his eyes and covered his ears, curling up into a ball.

Is he scared?

"Z-Zane?" I started to get worried

He was shaking, the thunder still crashing down, harder and louder this time.

I stood up and looked at him, then I Held out my hand for him to take.

He looked up, fear evident in his eyes.

"Don't worry Zane, I'll keep you safe," i reassured

By now he was crying. Shakily he took my hand and allowed me to pull him up.

I picked him up and started to walk home.

"T-Travis," he said

"Yeah," I looked at him with concern, as he continued to cry

"I l-like, no....

I love you..."
