Ikuya Kirishima (Misunderstood)

"(Y/N), will you be my girlfriend?" Ikuya kneeled down and asked you in front of many people. Your eyes went wide and can't stop its tears upon hearing that. You helped him stand up again before you answered.

"Yes! I'd love to be your girlfriend, Ikuya." you answered and hugged him. He hugged you tighter. And you both didn't mind the people's squealing and teasing. There are even some people who commented 'You two. Get a room'.

"You have no idea how much I've waited for this moment, (Y/N). I'm so happy!" Ikuya said. Still hugging you.

"Me too. I have no idea that you actually like me, Ikuya." you replied happily.

You snapped back from your thoughts to reality when your teacher called your last name for attendance.

"Present." you simply answered and looked away as some of your classmates laughed at your late reaction. You sighed deeply knowing this day is just another bore. Another boring day without Ikuya by your side.

You and Ikuya are both attending the same high school - Shionezaki High School. But since Ikuya seems like he's way more invested in his swimming career, you already thought that he doesn't know what you really feel now. You always feel sad and lonely at the same time. You don't even know if he still loves you or not because you're just talking through cellphone for how many months already. You want to see him again and go out with him just like before. Yes, he will say 'I love you' through his texts. But it will never be enough for you. You always cry after texting him. You want to see him but he always doesn't have time for you since he's always practicing. You want to ask him if he still wants this relationship to continue or not anymore. But you're too afraid for his answer.

Then one day, while you're on your way to the girls' dorm building, Ikuya texted you.

From: Ikuya ❤️

(Y/N), go to my dorm room. I already told the guard to let you in.

Upon reading this, you immediately walked fast to the boys' dorm building. You're nervous and happy at the same time. You don't know what would happen if you get there but you don't mind as long as the thought of seeing Ikuya again makes you feel better already. You entered the building and you walked upstairs until you reach Ikuya's  door. You breathe heavily before you knock.

"Ikuya? I'm here." you simply said while clenching your fist. You're actually preparing yourself for what will happen. You don't know if he's gonna talk to you to formally end your relationship or what. But, whatever it is, you're willing to know. He opened the door and prompted you to enter. You sit down on a vacant chair while Ikuya closed the door. He sit on the bottom bunk bed and looked at you. You are looking down. You didn't dare to look at him.

"(Y/N)?" he called you.

"What is it?" you asked. Still not looking at him.

"Look. I texted you to come here because I want to clear some things up." he said. Your eyes went wide but you managed not to make it obvious. Not long after, you can't help but stand up and blurt out anything you wanted to say while crying.

"I knew it! I really knew! You're gonna tell me that we should stop this relationship, right?! You should've just texted me! Or can I say, you should've just left me without saying anything! Because it's just the same! I always feel sad and lonely! It feels like you already left me! I don't even know if you're just using your swimming practice as an alibi to avoid me! Now, say something, Ikuya!" you blurted out while tears are running down on your face. Ikuya's eyes went wide and he walk up to you. He sighed.

"No. You don't understand, (Y/N). I admit. I can't make time for you. For us two. I know, you feel sad and lonely all this time. I know that texts aren't really enough even. I'm sorry for not making time for you. I'm sorry for making you feel upset. I'm sorry for not being with you all the time. But (Y/N), please don't think that I don't love you anymore. Because we both know how much I love you." he said softly while wiping your tears. You froze by what he said and you felt guilty for losing your temper earlier. You hugged him in defeat.

"I'm sorry too, Ikuya. I just miss you.. that much." you said while hugging him tighter. He smiled and hugged you back. He pulled away before he speak.

"I miss you too, (Y/N). Mmm.. Let's go out. Let's go to the coast and have a date." Ikuya offered while changing his clothes. You cheerfully nodded and wait for him. From there, you went out for a date.
