Chapter 27

"Let's start heading back home Onibi"

"Okay!~" 

After spending sometime having their pictures taken by some humans, Kamaitachi and Onibi had decided it was time to head back. As usual the humans seemed a little disappointed that they were leaving. Though that was just what they assumed, not that it mattered much to them. What they didn't notice was some curious humans had decided to follow them.

"Well isn't this unusual, all the Katanashu have come to visit my ramen stand suddenly" Kyuubi commented, watching as the rest of the Katanashu approached.

"Commander Hanabusa..everyone, what are you doing here?" Momiji immediately questioned.

"Mizuchi invited us to have ramen since it's been quiet lately. Give or take the daily occurrence of those two sneaking by. Can't you control that flame of yours Kyuubi-no-kitsune?" Hanabusa explained, glancing to the kitsune.

Kyuubi covered his face a little with his face and glanced back, "They don't cause any trouble in the human world. I've joined them once on a visit to the human world, all they do is bask in the spotlight"

"I guess as long as they're not harming anyone..not that they'd listen to you or us anyways. The youth is so rebellious"

They all got settled down as they made their ramen and talked about how their days were going so far. Madoka and Kasane were waiting for Kamaitachi so they could spend time together again. Kyuubi kept glaring at Aoi and warning him to not hurt his flame at all. To which the other was unphased and replied he wouldn't hurt him in any way. It was understandable that Kyuubi was overprotective, Onibi was his only little flame and cared dearly for him.

"Kyuubi-no-kitsune! " Onibi called out, waving to him as they approached. "You have a lot of customers today!"

"Fufufu, thanks to Mizuchi, it seems he's coming to visit again since he invited all the Katanashu over" the kitsune replied, patting Onibi on the head as he hugged the fox. "Even your dear lover is here"

"Aoiii!"

"I'm inches from you..you don't have to shout, Onibi" Aoi sighed, pushing his empty bowl aside.

"Yeah but I'm just excited to spend time with you! Kyuubi it's fine if he stays right? Even if he's done eating?"

"Since it's you asking, then it's fine. Besides I'd like to see how you two act as a couple" Kyuubi stated, tails swaying a little as he folded his fan.

"Kyuubiiii~ I'm not a child anymore you know! Aoi really nice, a little strict though, but that's fine!"

"You don't listen anyways" 

"Ehehe"

Onibi watched as Kamaitachi was embraced by Madoka and Kasane, both grinned as he blushed furiously. They liked teasing the weasel yokai just to see him embarrassed. Then he noticed Karasutengu had appeared, which only made Uta worry. He really wasn't going to let Uta live down his mistake. Kyuubi simply chuckled at the scene.

A few minutes past and Mizuchi finally showed up from the Phantom Realm. As usual he was surrounded by smaller yokai, who wanted human bodies. And he just couldn't deny them. He was too kind for his own good. But those yokai were desperate to have their own human bodies, so it couldn't be helped.

Hanabusa didn't show it, but it was obvious he was happy to see the former water god again. They didn't meet up much due to Hanabusa being busy with paperwork sometimes and the fact Mizuchi didn't leave the Phantom Realm much. At least, they didn't think they met up much. If they did, they were sneaky and met in secret. Probably to save themselves from being caught and being embarrassed.

"Ungaikyō, do you want to take a walk with me?" Momiji said, standing up and setting money down onto the counter.

"..Okay..." Ungaikyō replied, standing up as well, grabbing Momiji's hand.

They said their goodbyes to the others and said they'd see them all later. It'll be nice to get to hang out all together and this time not for a tournament. For now, the two just enjoyed the company of each others. Ever since Ungaikyō told him a bit about his past, Momiji kind of wondered if he would ever remember anything else. He wouldn't force him to though. The past can kind of be painful to relive.

"..hey Momiji, who are those people...?" 

"Huh?" 

Ungaikyō pointed to in front of them where he saw about three strange people. They didn't look like yokai. No, they were humans. Why were humans in Hikage Town? Did they wonder in? They had to handle this as soon as possible before anything happened.

"You three, stay where you are!" Momiji called out, startling them. They looked like they were teenagers. He didn't know why but they ran off as soon as they approached them. Maybe they were scared, after all they didn't know who they were.

"Ungaikyō, can you contact the others through your mirror? We have some humans to deal with"

"Yeah..but there's no mirror at the ramen stand..."

"Damn it..go get them then, I'll try to find those three!" Momiji said before taking off to find the three humans. Leaving Ungaikyō no choice but to go get the others. Why did humans have to wander into the yokai world?
