When Momiji woke up, he was somewhere unfamiliar. He wasn't at the big maple anymore. Was he somewhere else in the forest? Looking down he noticed his uniform was gone too, it was replaced with the white robe he'd normally wear to bed. When did he change his clothes?
Then he remembered the last thing he saw was Ungaikyō, he had wanted to talk to him but it clearly didn't go according to plan. Did he even have a plan to begin with?
He didn't bother to sit up, he still felt tired, so he just turned his head to look around. It looked like he was someone's house. Specifically someone's living room. How did he get here? Did Ungaikyō bring him to this place?
"...So you're awake.."
Looking over he saw Ungaikyō walking toward him. The yokai kneeled next to him, examining him with a bored expression.
"I hid your sword..you won't need it for now. Now sit up"
Momiji didn't bother doing what he said. Why should he listen to the yokai who knocked him unconscious and abducted him. How did just wanting to talk turn into this? Maybe he shouldn't of forced him...
"Ugh.."
Ungaikyō had grabbed his arms and pulled him roughly to sit up. He had to keep Momiji steady since his body was still not fully awake. But let him just slouch forward after a few minutes. Momiji didn't care to try figuring out what was going on.
'Is the consequences of trying to force a yokai to do something?'
"Where are we...?"
"My house. It's further in the forest"
There was no house in the forest marked on the map though. No one probably knew then. Or at least none of the Katanashu. It's not like he could add it to the map himself since he didn't know where specifically Ungaikyō's house was in the forest.
"How did you know my real name?"
As usual, Ungaikyō didn't bother to respond.
"Why won't you answer me?"
"If you want answers then you can figure them out on your own"
Sighing, he tried standing up only to be pushed back down by Ungaikyō. He glared and tried again, the same thing happened only with much more force. The other really didn't want him getting up and wandering around.
"Is this a hostage situation now?"
"It can be. I have no problem trapping my enemy here"
There he went again saying they were enemies. They barely knew each others, so why were they enemies? Unless he considered all Katanashu his enemy.
Again he attempted to get up. When Ungaikyō glared at him and went to shove him down, Momiji quickly grabbed his arms to stop him. The two stared at each others, waiting for the other to make a move.
"..You really think you can fight me without your sword?"
"I can at least try..!"
Their struggle didn't last long as Ungaikyō pinned him to the ground. Neither were very happy about the situation at all. After what seemed like forever, Ungaikyō let go of him and got up.
"Don't get up unless I say you can" he said sternly.
"You know if I don't return soon, the others will get suspicious of the yokais and think they might of hurt me or taken me captive, etc."
"I'm not planning on keeping you here"
"Then let me leave"
"No"
He made no sense. First he says he's not going to keep him, but refuses to let him go. Wouldn't it be better if he let Momiji go now and get it over with. Not that it'd stop him from interacting with him again, he wanted answers still.
"Wait.." he said, suddenly realizing something. "Then why did you take my clothes?! The sword I get but"
The yokai just shrugged. It was getting annoying with him not answering him or avoiding them all together. Momiji decided to just go back to laying down while Ungaikyō stared at him. Could this be anymore awkward? Why did today have to turn out like this.
Minutes turned into hours rather quickly and all that had happened was Momiji laying around as Ungaikyō ignored him. For some reason it bugged him that he wasn't getting any attention from the yokai. The few times they did interact was just them fighting. They didn't get along in the slightest. That too bugged him, like he didn't like fighting with Ungaikyō.
Eventually it began turning to night. He heard the other walk over to him so he turned to face him expecting him to be holding his stuff and say he could leave. Instead...
"You can get up, but not to leave"
"Wait..what..? You said you weren't keeping me here!"
"You can leave in the morning...I doubt those other Katanashu will notice you're gone"
He had a point, they barely ran into each others so they probably wouldn't notice. But now he was being forced to stay with the one yokai who didn't like the Katanashu. As well as consider him an enemy.
Standing up, he followed Ungaikyō into another room. It turned out to be his bedroom. He watched Ungaikyō sit down on the bed and set his mirror aside. Then he looked at him and pat the bed. Momiji tilted his head questioningly.
"Come lay down"
"I'm not sharing a bed with you" Momiji replied coldly.
"Too bad" Ungaikyō said in return, pulling him over. "It's only one night. Besides it's not like I want to share a bed with you anyways. But it's better than leaving you alone"
"So basically it's to make sure I don't cause trouble.."
He didn't have any choice in the matter so he just laid down on one side of the bed while Ungaikyō laid on the other side. Both faced their own direction.
Momiji stayed awake trying to think of a plan of action. If he could possibly escape while Ungaikyō slept then that'd be great. But first he had to find where he had hidden his uniform and sword. As well as not wake him up at all.
This was going to be a long night...
