ECLIPSE'S POV

Racing through the dark mist, Eclipse came across a pond of sludge. She was lost. She had been for who knows how long. She had been running from a monster. But... not a normal one? It had looked almost like a manta... at least the coloring. But it was tall, with a long scarf. Eclipse sighed. Nothing made sense here...
She sat down on the rocky shore and looked next to her. There was a spirit. He had a shimmering green cape and a Mohawk standing upon his head. Was he dead? Eclipse walked over and poked him. Yup. Either that or he was sleeping, or maybe a spirit. Hearing a loud screech behind her, Eclipse whipped around. A Dark Dragon.
Eclipse spread her wings to fly away, but they didn't work. She sprinted away, cutting through the mist. The Dark Dragon was gaining on her, and it was fast. It dove and slammed into her, splintering everything into fragments.

Eclipse opened her eyes to see the white figure again. It emitted a call. Eclipse, looking around, saw she was engulfed in white mist.

Hearing footsteps, she turned around to see another figure. Their cloak was red, and scarf considerably shorter than the white figure's. Eclipse knew they weren't from the Sky Kingdom.
They called at her repeatedly. Eclipse shook her head, not knowing what to do. The white figure walked over, and put their hand on her forehead. A rushing sensation filled her, and then something clicked. The figure nodded and finally spoke.

"I see it worked. Communication is vital to those of your kind."

Eclipse was confused, "I'm sorry, what?" The white figure leaned forward, dismissing the red one.

"Calling. The universal language. Try it now?" Eclipse had no idea what that meant but knew she could do something.   Why were spirits always so frustratingly mysterious for no reason?
Gathering all her energy into her spark, she released a call. Nothing happened.
Nodding and straightening, the white figure wept away the mist with its scarf, carving a path for itself and Eclipse. The path ended overlooking the Golden Wasteland.

Eclipse spoke tentatively, "How- how did we get here?"

The figure looked down at her, "We are the guardians of the Sand. The wanderers, Rythulians. We can get anywhere in the kingdoms, with just the right mindset, and there are other creatures who can do so."
The white figure motioned at one of the stray crabs walking around in the sludge. "Call. It communicates to them that you are not a threat. Glory shouldn't mind."

Eclipse nodded, but she had her doubts. Calling, the crabs moved away.

She was confused, and asked, "How come they all did it? Not just the one?"

The white figure answered calmly. "Glory is the mind of all Dark Crabs. Now, I shall gift the other Sky Elders with the knowledge."

The white mist whisked them to a dark tunnel, where the sky children were sitting on the ground eating packed food. The white figure's scarf touched each, and they straightened, most likely noticing the sudden rush of information.

Whispering, the white figure explained the call's power, making it seem like the sky children just knew the information. The white mist whipped them away again, and the white figure spoke.
"You must join your friends now, you have been gone for far too long." A tunnel opened in a large cavern with a circular pond in the center. A gradually rising curved path rose around the edge of the water, and a spirit with a navy blue cape and long hair bustled around. Eclipse turned around to thank the white wanderer, but they were gone.

Walking down the tunnel, Eclipse stepped lightly onto an island in the middle of the small pool.

"Guys?" Eclipse's voice echoed around the cavern. Nothing. What about her call? Gathering her mental energy, Eclipse pushed it out in a loud bird call. Further down the entrance tunnel, her friends heard it. Racing towards the sound, they found Eclipse standing in the middle of the cavern.

"ECLIPSE!" Sunny and Zaira yelled in unison and ran to hug their friend. Eclipse explained about the wanderer. Everyone was astounded.

"Other species? This is groundbreaking information."

A voice came from behind them. "Indeed it is. And known by no other than me. Or should be." They turned around to see the blue-caped spirit, "Ah, the young elders. Welcome. I shall tell you what you need to know."
