NINI'S POV

"alright, did you all get that?" i ask my students sweetly in my acting school who consists of at least 12-14-year-olds, and they all nod.

"ok let's do a recap, what are-" i try to ask until i was interrupted by one of my students, maddie. "yes, maddie do you have a question?"

"yea uhm miss salazar-roberts, is that another ring on your finger? are you engaged?" she asks in a shy tone and i chuckle. "yes, honey i am."

my students start to walk up to me and they grab my hand so they could see and admire the ring. i laugh at their gestures and reactions. as i end my class and send my students home, i text ricky saying that i'll be home in a while.

when i read his text, i groaned

when i read his text, i groaned. all i wanted to do is just cuddle with him at home after a long day i had. suddenly, an idea just popped up to my brain and i go to my office to grab my stuff. i instruct my secretary/manager, chelsea to lock up for me as she tells me my schedule for tomorrow.

first, i drive by in n out to grab our favorite burgers, that is also our favorite midnight snack. next, i drive by starbucks to order his favorite iced caramel macchiato while i settle for an iced green tea latte. after grabbing some dinner for the both of us, i drive by his studio. it wasn't fancy. it was a small one, located downtown.

as i enter through the door of his studio, i was greeted by mia, his manager. "hey nini, good to see you."

"hi mia, where's ricky?" i ask her.

"oh, he's inside the recording area. he looks really stressed." mia responds and i start to worry so i run to him.

i knock on the door and as i open the door, i see him sitting down with his head down low. he was still wearing his headphones and his producing equipment was set aside. i put down the dinner I bought for him and walk over to him to wrap my arms around him.

"hi, baby. how are you?" i ask him as i press a gentle kiss to his curls.

he turns around and when he sees me, he gets up from his chair and wraps me in a tight hug. "nini, baby. what are you doing here?"

"when you told me that you were working late, i wanted to surprise you here." i ask him as i pull back from the hug and rub the back of his neck, making him feel relaxed.

"i was just really stressed and frustrated because i'm trying to produce my new single now. but since you're here, i feel a lot better," he tells me as he tucks my hair in between my ears.

"well, i brought some comfort food. come on, let's eat. looks like you've had a rough day."

we sat down on the couch that was across his table, enjoying each other's company and talking about the day we had. i was filling him in on how some of my students from my acting school know that i was engaged and he bursts into laughter.

"hey." ricky starts as he sip down the rest of his drink. "we should start planning our wedding soon."

"oh yeah about that. i kinda need to tell you something," i say to him and i could see his face looking a bit worried.

i sigh before i speak, "so uhm my moms want the both of us to fly back to salt lake next week so we could discuss some wedding plans with them. your mom and dad are going to be there and your stepmother and stepfather are gonna make an appearance as well."

i see ricky give a surprised look, "woah, jenn and todd are coming?" and i give him a nod and add, "your stepsister is coming as well."

ricky's eyes widened for a bit. "oh hannah is gonna be there? that's great. i can't wait for you to meet her. she's 17 and a senior in high school. we get along quite well."

"alright then it's set, i'll book our tickets so we can fly in next weekend!" i tell him as i bring out my phone to book our plane tickets.

ricky starts to talk again, "do you know, i'm still kinda shocked that my dad ended up marrying our drama teacher back in high school? it's still very surprising to me." and we both laugh again.
