Taro's eyes narrowed at Keiko but did not dare to make a move from the sheer weight of Itachi's glare, let alone Sasuke's eyes that begged him to try anything so he could unleash a wrath so devastating that even Madara would call cruel.  Of course, the youngest sibling still hadn't forgotten Taro's snide remarks about Sakura when they arrested him as well.

The air was thick with tension but Keiko let her smirk fade and decided to break the silence,

"It is my understanding that you and Jun are brothers correct?"  She flipped open a file with a pen ready, confidence filling her from having her brothers with her and knowing Kakashi was in the other room watching.

"Yes."  He clenched his jaw at his predicament.  Annoyance flashed across his eyes when he looked at the woman's Sharingan in front of him.

"Were you working with your brother to weaken the Uchiha clan through the years?"  She continued and had no intention of stopping, sure it would be nice for him to be compliant, but she kind of wanted him to show some sort of emotion.  It seemed like she was just talking with a robot.

"If you're asking if I was there when you were taken as an 'apprentice' then no.  We split up before then."  He crossed his arms and smirked at the tiny twitch in her eye, but that quickly turned into a scowl when Sasuke let out a quiet growl in response.

"We know you've been working with him, so why don't you just give us your story on what 'really happened' then?"  Keiko's eyes narrowed and her sharingan threatened to spin into her mangekyou if he tried to start anything.

"Fine.  I'll tell you exactly what my brother and I have been up to all these years."  Taro leaned on his arms onto the cold metal table and wore a dangerous look in his eyes, "and exactly why we took action against the Uchiha clan, but if you interrupt me, even once, you're not getting shit from me."

"Remember, Taro, you're not in control here.  We're doing this civilly for your rights as a human being, but don't test us or our patience."  Itachi warned and crossed his arms across his chest.

"Fine," Taro growled and leaned back in his chair.  The markings of the blood prison seal became slightly visible from the shift of his prison shirt.  "My family was promised a place with the Uchiha through marriage when the Leaf was created."  His eyes then got dark, "we had aided the Uchiha for years for your war with the Senju.  When the Leaf was created, my clan decided to take their time before fully agreeing to be ruled by a Senju.  Then a disease ransacked my clan leaving only a few of us left."  He clenched his teeth as he rehearsed the words that had been told to him since he was a child.

"Then your clan was no longer able to marry into our clan, is that correct?"  Keiko pressed on to keep the testimony going.

"We were no longer considered allies to the Uchiha while they thrived in their little happy circle of bliss and no longer cared for loyalty.  They even sent out assassins to just kill us off, which they succeeded in killing our father."  Taro was basically spitting out the words with such disgust.

"There were no records of the assassination attempt and it was said that there were violent attacks towards the village when your clan was denied to be married into our clan." Keiko narrowed her eyes at the man before her.

"Of course they wouldn't record that.  It would tarnish their 'perfect' reputation.  Just like how you were basically erased from existence from the clan when you were transferred to my brother right?"  Taro smirked at the sudden twitch on Keiko's face.  He knew he was getting under her skin.

"How would you know if you were no longer with your brother at that time?"  Keiko hissed.

"Just because I wasn't with him doesn't mean I wasn't able to speak with him.  I was even at the base when you decided to set it ablaze.  Jun asked me to come and save Akari since he planned on forcing you to awaken your mangekyou.  I hadn't expected to have to save two lives that night."  He shook his head.  "I don't know why he had a constant obsession over you.  However, there was a reason you were brought to him.  He wanted you and only you.  You were supposed to be the one he married to be in the clan, but then your father came into power and stopped the agreement."  Taro smirked but quickly frowned as Itachi sighed.
