From the show: My Three Sons

You found yourself totally oblivious to the commotion going on around you. You were currently in the Douglas's household, the youngest boy, Chip, running around with their dog, Tramp, their grandfather, Bub, hollering about something, and their father still busy at his work in town. The oldest son, Mike, and also your best friend, was attempting to read the passageway for your English assignment. You found yourself just staring at the middle brother though, Robbie, as he did sit ups with his hands behind his head by the couch in the middle of the floor.

"Hey, (Y/N), do you want a snack or something," Mike politely asked, snapping you out of your daze. You almost fell over when on the armrest your arm weakened that you had been leaning your chin on.

"Oh yeah. I'll go with you," you offered, realizing how boisterous the room was.

Once the swinging door to the kitchen swung behind you, Mike didn't even open the refrigerator or anything. Instead he leaned the edge of his palm against the counter by the modern ice box.

"So, how long have you liked Robbie," he bluntly wondered.

"What? I don't like Robbie," you tried to play off, but Mike wasn't falling for it. A sigh escaped your lips as you said, "A few weeks ago. He's just so cute. And I know he's 2 years younger than me, but I just seem to relate to him more than guys in our grade."

"You guys have talked?" Mike had an amused/nice expression on his face.

"You act surprised."

"Well, it's just I've never heard you guys even utter a word to each other."

"I ran into him the other day on the stairs' landing when I was looking for you."

"And that's what did it." He was definitely playfully teasing you at this point.

"Mike," you lightly scolded.

"Sorry, it's just news to me. I mean, most of the girls I meet I like from just one glance. I just never thought you and Robbie."

"There is no me and Robbie," you emphasized as you headed towards the door. "He's just your younger brother and I'm your best friend."

"Whatever you say," Mike casually shrugged.

You expected to just plop back onto the couch and continue your lessons. What you didn't expect was Chip yelling at Tramp and the dog tripping you, before you fell on top of Robbie in a flash, hardly able to process the recent happenings. You made a face as you tried to push yourself up, but then you realized Robbie and you were merely inches away, and the entire world seemed to vanish again.

"Hey Robbie," you breathed.

"Hey," he managed to get out, swallowing hard for a moment as he stared up at you.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to fall on you." Your apology hung in the air as your heart rate quickened.

"It's no problem," Robbie claimed, you gently touching his chest near where his white, dress shirt's collar was. You could tell by his vibrant blue eyes that he was feeling something special towards you too. Gradually you leaned in, tilting your head slightly before your lips met, the kiss the most delicate and sweet one you had ever experienced. After you pulled away, Robbie's forehead creased some, him gazing up at you in surprise.

"Gee whiz," he spoke.

"Gee whiz," you repeated, both of you jumping horribly when Bub's voice rang out.

"Robbie! Come help me set the table! All of ya," shouted their grandfather, meaning the boys.

You had rolled off of Robbie, both of you just lying side by side propped up by your own arms as you breathed heavily from being frightened.

"I guess we better do what he says," Robbie commented as he looked over at you.

"Yeah," you agreed, both of you standing and gravitating to the kitchen in a daze. Mike was standing outside the door though with his arms crossed, letting Robbie pass before stopping you.

"So, how did you and Robbie make out," he casually asked.

"What?" He threw you off guard from the abrupt interrogation. "We didn't make out," you protested.

"I know. I'm real happy for you two kids," he grinned as he teased you. You rolled your eyes before following him to where the rest of the family was, their father finally getting home, everyone oblivious to you and Robbie's newfound feelings, except for Mike of course.
