"Peacemaker, Peacemaker!" Someone was shouting, but Peacemaker seemed to be lost. He couldn't wake up.

It was horrible.

Millions of dragons, watching him, pointing talons, gawking and laughing, why?

Help me! Peacemaker pleaded, though to who, he didn't know.

Oh, little Peacemaker, you have much to learn.

What? Who are you? How? I don't understand....

Of course not, little one.

But, how are you in my head? Am I crazy? What is wrong with me?

There is nothing wrong with you, little one.

That's not true. Almost the whole Night Village hates me.

That's because they don't understand you, or your power, but I do. I could help you, save you from this torment. I could make all these dragons bow to your knees, I have that power, little one, you just have to learn how to use the vessel that is building up inside of you.

I don't understand, what vessel? I'm not powerful, at least I'm pretty sure...

You are powerful! That foolish enchantment put on me to keep me locked inside of you, is slowly wearing off. But if something were to happen to you.... I can't imagine what will happen to me.

Peacemaker didn't understand what the voice inside his head was talking about, it seemed incomprehensible. He didn't want to understand.

Hello? Are you still there?

No answer.

Maybe he was just crazy.

His eyes were slowly opening, and Foeslayer was standing above him, her talons clutched in his.

"Oh, Peacemaker, are you okay?" She asked, tears in her eyes.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just, my head hurts," Peacemaker said.

"Oh, you collapsed while we were flying back to the Night Village! Are you sure you're okay?"

"Did you," she asked nervously, "have a vision?"

Peacemaker shook his head rapidly, not wanting to explain what he saw or the mysterious voice in his head. He could still feel the presence, though he couldn't feel anything behind it, just sitting there, in the back of his head, listening. Peacemaker didn't like it, it was creepy.

"Okay, that's good," Foeslayer said, wiping one talon across her forehead in relief.

"Here, I'll get you breakfast!" Foeslayer said hurriedly, noticing Peacemaker's grumbling stomach.

She left the little hut and Peacemaker got up.

His head was spinning, not able to comprehend what just happened.

I want to see Firefly, the back of his head whispered, though he knew Foeslayer would be upset. So he chose to wait, instead.

He sighed, his talon clutching his head.

He grabbed one of his blankets and dragged it out the door, it was still dark out, the stars twinkling in the sky. The three moons shining brightly like glittering diamonds.

He plopped down on the grass, wincing at how cold it was. A cricket hopped about, and Peacemaker held out a claw for it to jump on. He caressed it lightly, then it hopped away, humming a quiet tune.
