Improvisations- More Proof Why I Am Awesome

I am okay. All right? I am fine.

Ok, maybe not entirely.

Fine, I am fifty percent fine, give or take. Mostly take.

Ok, FINE, I am not fine. God.

Anyway, I was pretty sure that I could put off all my ‘not fine’ moments because I had taken up something which needs my fullest attention.

I shook my head and stared at Mom and Mr. Chopra (the elder one, I mean, the Dad. I don’t know what else to call him) as they discussed about the evidence and all things. It was of course, necessary, considering they were battling out one of the biggest cases in their lives.

Ok, I am making no sense whatsoever, am I? Sorry, I just fast forwarded two months of my life to this scenario, because, well, it just seems fitting to start with this again, considering the last time I actually felt excited enough to narrate was- a decidedly long while back. And also, these two months were full of work, and revelations.

I will let you know them in a jiffy.

First, it all started with Vidhyuth Chopra (Who I am going to call The Devil again, just saying) retracting hiss 20 year old statement about his Dad’s innocence in the previous case, making the Feds re open this case again.

Yes. Don’t gape. I was staring at the newspaper headlines for ten minutes straight with my mouth wide open like I was going to eat the biggest piece of cake in my lifetime (despite being dumped, my humor, as you can see, is awesome and sassy as ever.)

Then, it so became that Mr. Chopra (the dad) had to face the suit again. Well, that was all well and good, because everyone was thinking that he was just going to surrender because it was all ended for him as he had no proof.

Here, may I intone that I am the most wonderful person you might have ever heard of?

I believed what I should believe. And I believed that he was innocent. So, he needed to lawyer up, right? Now, Mr. Chopra was capable of doing that himself, considering he was a Lawyer too, but as he was out of practice and NOT a DA, he needed one immediately.

Here’s where I remind you people that my Mom too, is a lawyer and a pretty darn influential one too.

So, after convincing her about everything and showing Mom’s journals and what not, she agreed to help by calling one of her friends, Suraj Kaur, to represent Mr. Chopra for the case.

So, the suit is not a suit anymore. It’s a legal brawl between two of the most influential lawyers in the country, where one is claiming with false (but seemingly true) allegations that Varun Chopra was a felon. And the government cant even say ‘no’ to the suit again.

Like, whoa, government. Way to help the people. (Ok, don’t put me into jail for this).

Now, Mr. Chopra, when he was out of the country, was not all that nice person. He has some malpractice claims on him, which, by the way, is not all that bad. I mean, no one is perfect, right? But, to The Devil, that was just additional information to propel the case to his side. So far, the three rounds held felt like a close match.

I was currently in the court room for the fourth round, watching the three debate and discuss on what to do during the recess.

“We need something powerful, to put them off for a while.” Mr. Kaur was explaining.

“Like what?”

“An evidence, at least, something startling. We are still unable to get our hands on Manaswi’s records, but we need to hold off for some more time.”
