Every. Single. Person. Stared.

They stared when I walked inside and they stared through the door as Davidson and I talked (well, he mostly teased me about the news flash, but he seemed pretty cool with it. Awesome boss, remember?), they stared when I talked to Kareena (Who was so excited that she was just speechless after she saw me and THEN began raining me with questions), and most of all, their eyes seemed to strain from staring when, at 10 ‘0’ clock sharp, a silver convertible pulled over smoothly near the entrance and a model like person got out and then went to talk to Davidson about something after which he took my hand and walked me outside.

It was like we were like road kill and they just. Cant. Look. Away.

“Look at you, Sameera, you’re pretty much the eye candy for your colleagues now” contrary to my discomfort ,Vidhyuth just seemed to be enjoying himself.  Of course, it was a given. If I am uncomfortable, he just revels in joy.

“In what way is this not punishable? I can still feel them staring. “And why are you laughing?” I demanded as he opened the car door.

“Hm, you hardly do get embarrassed, its cute when you do.” He said, grinning at my flat look. “And also, it puts a pretty clear symbol in your work place that trying for you is no longer worth it, right?”

“What if they believe in competing for me and pull a Jacob Black on you?” I asked, grinning too.

“One thing for sure. He wont get my girl or my daughter, for that matter” he said before getting in.

Wait, he knows Twilight too? Isn’t that creepy?

I shrugged and got inside too. I was creepy; getting a sane person will not balance the world. “I sent your present to your office” I said matter of factly as he began driving.

“Why didn’t you think of giving it to me right now?”

“It will spoil the air.”

“Is the present that bad?”

“No, it rocks. Then you will be too focused on the present to spend time with me.”

“You’re possessive of me and my time with you even in comparison to your own present?” he asked, smirking a little.

I glared at him. “I am NOT possessive of you.”

Before he could reply, he got a call. He switched on his Bluetooth and began talking. “Hello? Yeah, speaking. Oh, hi. Yeah, thank you, I am surprised you remember.” He said, smiling as he took a turn. “That’s nice. Yeah, I am going out now.” I looked at his cell phone to find the caller ID telling ‘Jennifer’ and gave him  a look. Then I realized jealousy was absolutely beneath me because, lets face it ,I am too awesome for that. So, I shook my head and continued wondering where we were going to.

“Fine, nice talking to you. Bye” he cut the call and smiled at me.

“What?” I asked, puzzled.

“Not jealous?”

“I would, if I had any idea how she looks. But then, I am not dating her, and nor are you.” I said thoughtfully, as his grin grew wider. “Or are you?”

He gave me a flat look. “Your trust in me is so much that it hurts.”

“I know, Vidhyuth I know.”

He took us far away from the main city to the beaches which weren’t polluted by the city water. We drove on for two more hours (more like sped fast; this guy drove like a maniac) and we reached a magnificent- beach town.
