I was awake a long time before I let them know. This time was for solitary thinking. I was considering everything. Here are the points.
a> I have some bad ass lawyer genes in me.
b> My parents are pretty darn awesome.
c> Mahesh Jadav was a bloody son of a b and he deserves lifetime hell.
d> Vidhyuth's dad was free!
e> Mom and Dad died but they died for something good.
f> Still they died.
g> &^%$ Mahesh Jadav.
h> Actually ew. Slash that last thought. Just- ew
i> Vidhyuth and I have a lot to talk about.
j> I need to be stricter on this probation business.
k> But we are kind of okay I guess.
l> Guess being the strong word.
m> My Ninja skills just acquired a new degree of awesomeness.
n> Oh, screw that. I acquired a personal degree of awesomeness.
o> My head wound was going to scar.
p> Darn it.
q> I was going to live to see my twenty fifth birthday after all.
r> I love my family for being this cool.
s> Ok, I need to get up.
Right on the cue, I felt cautious fingers sift through my hair, carefully avoiding my stitches. "Hey, are you awake?"
"Hm." I said, smiling a little as I snuggled more into the blankets. It was toasty warm inside the covers, okay, its like my ideal atmosphere.
"You're awake."
"Yeah, but five minutes."
"MRS. KAPOOR, SAMEERA IS AWAKE."
"Didn't you hear about my need for five minutes?" I grumbled as the door opened almost instantaneously and Mom walked inside, anxious and relieved at once.
"Oh, sweetie FINALLY." She said, flinging herself on me as I wretched my eyes open with a sigh.
"I love you Mom, but stitches- stitches, yeah thanks." I said, as she pulled away, beaming at me.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I slept so well."
"Honey, you fainted. You were out for a whole day."
"Well, I still feel well rested, so yeah."
"Honey, don't you ever do this to me ever again." She said, hugging me again. "I don't care for what, but I just- I was so scared, sweetheart."
"Mom, I am okay now. Like, stop crying."
"I am trying but it just wont stop." She sobbed, stroking my hair. I gave a Can-you-believe-it look at Dad, who was also blinking fast.
Wow. And Dad never cries. Like, ever.
"I Am fine, I wont do anything like that ever again, I am sorry, okay?" I asked, smiling.
"Better be. I am going to ground you for eternity."
"Wow. Thanks Mom." I shook my head, my eyes locking with his as I looked to my left. He was dressed in faded grey jeans and a black t-shirt and though he looked fresh and nice, he also looked tired.
