Chenle's clenched fists placed by his side, mixed emotions rising up in him and before anyone could react he sent his fist ramming into the wall- purely enraged just at the thought.

"Chenle!"
Jaemin held onto his hand stopping him, worriedly as blood graced his skin.

"Grab the first aid!"
Jisung yelled out and instantly Donghyuck ran upstairs as the younger rushed over to Chenle, gently grabbing his hand that was bruised.

"Leave"
Chenle whispered out, gritting his teeth- fuming.

"You're hurt—"
"I said leave!"
Chenle yanked his hand off his grip- drops of blood scattering the white tiled flooring before he kicked the door open, dashing out of the station.

"Chenle—"
Jeno was about to follow the boy out but Mark stopped him, shaking his head.

"Leave him alone, he needs sometime alone"
Nodding, he backed off and the room remained silent- everyone lost in their own chain of thoughts.

Silence.

The boy did not utter a single word through out the whole drive back home- making his way to the rooftop of his house.

He stumbled to the ground, leaning against the wall as he stared up at the night sky- conflicting thoughts invading his mind.

He himself did not know why he was angry over it yet no tears left his eyes upon hearing his parents being mentioned.

Why?

Was it because he got over his parents and their love for him..?

Chenle walked back down to his room- pulling the drawer before picking up the watch that was wrecked cause he was blinded by his rage on the other day.

A weak smile hovered on his lips, recollecting his past- the days he could never forget, the days he now envied the most since he was no longer surrounded by the happy and smiling faces that proudly looked up at him nor had someone to make him feel cared and loved.

"Happy birthday son"
An Yimin- his mother and Zhong Kai- his father, hugged the seventeen now eighteen year old boy, pressing a kiss on his forehead as they together wished him right when the clock struck twelve.

"Thank you"
Chenle smiled back at them- half asleep since he was woken up for hearing their wishes.

"We have a gift for you, close your eyes.."
And just as asked to Chenle closed his eyes and soon felt someone taking his hand and placed something onto his palm.

"Open"
Upon hearing his mother, he slowly open his eyes and widened upon seeing their present for him.

"Really?? For me?"
Chenle unboxed the imported watch he had been desperately wanting every since last year.

"Is my Chenle happy?"
Yimin asked, and he gave an exited nod making the two break out into smiles as they dearly watched their son.

"Do you know what it means?"
Chenle shook his head at Kai's question, unknown as to what the watch signified.

"Do you see three small hearts on the bottom?"
Chenle nodded taking a closer look at the watch- three small hearts entangled with each other.

"Read out the initials"
Yimin said and he did as asked.

"K, Y and C..."
"Kai, Yimin and Chenle?"
"That's beautiful !"
Chenle threw his arms around the couple making them laugh at his cuteness as they hugged him back.

"Remember, every second we two will forever be there with you Chenle"
"We are always proud of you son"
Kai said, breaking the hug as he looked at the eighteen year old boy.

"Watch, I'll also become a police officer like you two and make you proud"
"I would love to watch my Chenle working above my position some day"
"I surely will dad"
"Look how much our little hero grew up!"
Yimin commented, ruffling his hair as the three got into a conversation of their own- laughter filling the entire room and the warmth of their love and affection never left his side..

"I miss you.."
Chenle blinked away his tears- the happy days now his became past after his life took an unexpected turn that one night- the moment he felt his whole world crumble down knowing he had to face his future all alone.

Also a reason why he feared to fall in love with Yena because everyone he so dearly loved, in the end, they all left him, leaving him alone all by himself.

So he tried to convince himself he did not deserve to be loved but nevertheless his heart did not care what his mind planned- unknowingly he developed a liking towards the girl.

The girl who was once just a stranger, no meant something to him- someone he couldn't let go off in his life.

"Oh Shit!"
He cursed out, pulling his phone out of his pocket looking at the time that displayed on the screen.

"Fuck, Yena's alone"
Chenle placed the watch back inside the drawer before rushing out of the room, grabbing his keys as he placed his hand over the door knob and  just then the door clicked open making him back away and look up at the person.

Yena.

"Sorry, I walked ba—"
Chenle interrupted her by inching closer to the girl- his hand mid way from pulling her into a hugging, wanting to hold the girl in his arms to make her feel safe, also assure him own self that she was safe but stopped realizing she probably despised him.

What was he expecting when all he did was being rude towards the girl..?

"Sorry"
He muttered, inaudible, before turning around on his heels and inside his room, shutting the room door close behind him leaving the girl frozen- surprised as her heart blundered that he was just an inch away from hugging her- yet she had a smile on her face cause he stepped forward willingly..
