Yena wouldn't let go, hugging the elder boy for whole two minutes- her breaths stable and her cries ceased as his warmth blanketed her making her feel much at ease.

Loosening her hold on him she placed her heel back on the ground and he pulled his hands back, placing them by his sides as he looked down at the girl who broke the hug.

"Ta-ke me ba-ck home"
Yena's words came out broken and her voice cracked yet he payed no heed to it as he gave her a small nod, humming in response.

Chenle's eyes trailed over her, sighed out before placing his jacket over her shoulder and she let out an 'oh' in surprise at his sudden actions but caught into the hem of the material, holding it in place.

Chenle awaited for the girl to make a move but she did not, instead she inched closer to him, slipping her hands into his, intervening their fingers before looking up at him- his eyes slightly wide at her actions as he drew his eyes down to hers.

"I feel more safe,"
"With you"
Yena let out and hearing her, his lips curled into a small smile- his heart pounding at her words before he looked ahead and the two walked alongside each other, heading to her apartment.

Yena looked down at her watch- 11:47

The night that she had always felt solitary, the darkness that encircled her every time she was out in the gloomy streets, almost like she was in an alternate world now felt nothing like earlier- the gloaming night, desolate roads and the vulnerability no longer lingered around her cause now he was there with her- the one she undeniably trusts and loves was now by her side.

Though they remained silent through out the walk, the two found comfortable in each other's presence.

Chenle opened the door to her apartment and walked to her room, making her sit down on her bed.

"I'll get you some water"
He said as his eyes flickered down at their hands that were still intervened and back at her making her let go off his hand.

The moment she let go off his hand, his warmth left her as the cold air brushed her skin and disappointment washed over her face as she frowned at the loss of his contact, watching him walk to the kitchen to get her some water.

Chenle walked inside the room with a glass of water in his hands, handing it to her as he watched her chug it down before placing it on the bedside stand.

"Aren't you uncomfortable? Get changed"
He asked, eyeing her dress and she gave him a nod standing up as she walked to her closet picking the first clothing that her hand had reached out, worn out to actually take her time to go through and choose one.

Yena turned around only to see him exiting her room and closed the door behind him and she smiled to herself at his actions.

Quickly getting changed, she walked to her bathroom.

"You looked this the whole time?"
Yena muttered to herself, looking at her reflection- hair messy, streams of dried tears evident on her face making her sigh out before splashing some cold water on her face, feeling relieved at the refreshing feeling that spread over her.

Twisting the door open she walked to the hall and was surprised to him sitting on the couch, his head leaning on it with his eyes closed and he lowly hissed out in pain clutching onto his shirt material over his stomach.

Yena hurriedly walked over to him, alarmed upon seeing him in that state.

"Hey you okay?"
"What's wrong?"
Yena asked, concerned and he immediately sat up straight, shaking his head in denial.

"Sure, I believe it"
She said, standing up before walking to her room and grabbing her first aid box from her vanity and back to the couch.

She sat down beside him on the couch as she spoke.
"You might have to.."
She trailed off, eying his shirt and he raised a brow confused earning sigh from her.

"Take your shirt off"
Yena said and he stared at her with wide eyes, taken aback by her words.

"Yena I'm fin—"
"I'm tired, quick"
She said and he sighed out in defeat before pulling the shirt over his head.

Yena gasped at the contuse on his stomach before grabbing an ointment from the box.
Picking some content of the cream onto her finger she gently brushed her finger over the bruise and he screwed his eyes shut as a hiss escaped his lips.

"You're fine? Bullshit"
She scoffed as she applied the cream on the bruise.

"You didn't have to fight like that.."
"What if something happened to you?"
She shook her head at her own words- worried and he silently listened to her, intently watching her treat his wound.

After she was done, she sat back up straight before handing him his shirt and picked up the box in her hands walking to place it in her vanity.

She turned around only to see him walk inside her room, now wearing his shirt as he leaned against the wall, sliding his hands into his jean pocket as he spoke.

"Were you worried?"
"About me?"
He asked, staring right at her, awaiting her answer.

Yena wordlessly gave him a small nod, averting her gaze onto the floor and she began fidgeting with her finger, nervous as she could feel his eyes lingering on her.

"About earlier, it's just...I wasn't thinking"
Hearing her words he approached her, now standing in front of her as he looked down at the girl.

"'Thank you my love' too?"
He asked and she snapped her head up to face him, quickly shaking her head in denial earning a chuckle from him.

"I meant,"
"I wasn't thinking about the hug.."
Yena let out, looking straight into his eyes and watched as the boy furrowed his brows, perplexed- skeptical if her words meant what he interpreted it as.

"Wha—"
"I like you"
Yena muttered and his demeanor instantly changed as he leaned down closer to her with a smirk on his face evident.

"I didn't hear you"
He said and she lightly hit his arm- her cheeks flushed as she looked away.

"Say it"
"You heard me"
"No, say it again"
Yena breathed out, mustering her courage, looking up at him- her own eyes glancing in between his before tip toeing and whispered out the next words near his ear.

"I like you too Zhong Chenle"
And before he could react, she pressed a soft kiss on his cheeks catching him off guard at her actions but nevertheless the two broke out into smiles, contented that they were now something more than just strangers.
