"Fuck I almost died" Yena uttered out, hurriedly pushing the bars unlock rushing down the cart and a concerned Chenle followed suit.
"Hey love you okay?" Chenle asked as his forehead creased, perplexed as to what to do- her fists grabbing onto his shirt as she gasped for air trying to calm herself and the feeling of her head pounding even after riding the roller coaster did not cease and she felt the urge to throw up.
"Yena you okay? Come, sit" Chenle held onto her- one hand around her waist while the other clutched hers, helping her walk to the nearby bench as he sat her down.
"I'll get some water" With that, he rushed towards the nearby shop buying a water bottle and back to where she was at.
"Here, have some" He handed her the bottle, sitting down beside her, running his hand up and down her back as he watched her chug some of the content down her throat followed by a loud sigh.
"Now?" "Better.." Yena mumbled out, placing her head on his shoulder with her eyes closed as she tried to relax herself.
"You should've just refused.. all of this wouldn't have happened" Chenle said in a low tone, concern washing over him as he tucked a few strands of her behind her ear while he let her rest on his shoulder- his hands interlaced with hers and they stayed in that position till she felt better.
"I can't say no to you love. Also who knew it would be so bad?" "Idiot you got me worried" Yena let out a weak laugh before standing up and looking down at him.
"Let's go, I don't want this to ruin the rest of our day" "It doesn't matter—" "No, I'm fine. Let's go" "Yena we can go back ho—" "Chenle c'mon! I told you I'm fine, really" Yena held onto his arm pulling him to stand on his feet and he sighed out in defeat, dearly holding onto her as the two aimlessly roamed around the entire fair, spending the next few hours at the fair.
Night drew down as the darkness loomed over them- hands linked as they sat down at the bench.
"Such a baby" Chenle mumbled out- smile reaching his eyes as he stared at the girl who was busy savoring her cotton candy.
"Huh? What did you say?" She asked, looking to her side and he chuckled out before bringing his hand up near her face, wiping the content that was stuck at the corner of her lips with his thumb.
"Thanks" Yena flashed him a wide smile before going back to taking big bites onto her candy.
Chenle fondly stared at the girl until his phone that had begun ringing snapped him out of his trance.
Pulling out his phone from his pocket, he furrowed his brows at the unknown number and without giving it a second thought he declined the call and just when he was about to place his phone back in his pocket, it vibrated in his hands and he groaned accepting the call as he placed his phone near his ear.
"Who—" "I hate giving others a second chance but consider yourself lucky officer" Chenle sat up straight, alarmed at his words as he squint his eyes trying to recollect if the voice sounded familiar but nevertheless he was left unanswered.
"Who is it?" "Take a wild guess? You know me very well officer" Chenle gritted his teeth annoyed and he tried to calm himself, closing his eyes momentarily before mumbling out a 'no' and a loud laugh erupted on the other side making his furrow his brows, perplexed.
"You'd been behind me for months, how could you say a no?" "Ruby's leader, aren't you?" "There you go. Knew you were smart" "Risky much?" Chenle ridiculed waiting for his reply and Yena tapped on his shoulder gaining his attention, eyeing the phone and he gave her a smile, shaking his head before holding onto her hand.
"Wow wow what a sight- holding onto your girlfriend's hand" Chenle's eyes widened by a fraction before he snapped his head to the sides, eyes intently searching for anyone suspicious around him.
"Well young man don't search for me, I'm not an easy catch and yo well aware of that" "Show yourself up, you coward" "Those stupid tricks of yours don't work, think better if you want to get hold of me" Chenle clenched his fist- fuming in anger at his words.
"Everyone has a weakness," "And yours is that girl.." "Good luck trying to find me Mr. Zhong" The continuous beeping sound of the call interjected and his fists clutched onto the phone tightly, his knuckles turning white at the impact, clenching his jaw in absolute wrath.
