CHAPTER 24

Mateo POV
It was maybe 3am and i was in mommy's room. She had been crying some of the night then went to bed. I was thirsty so i got up and went downstairs to get water. As I walked down the stairs I could see the moon threw the window. I walked over to the fridge and got some water out of a jug. The jug wasnt fully filled so i was able to pick it up, I sipped some then I dropped it. It made a loud bang on the floor and water was spilling everywhere.

Elena POV
I got woken up by a bang downstairs. I turned over and notice Mateo wasnt next to me.

Elena: Mateo?!

I ran downstairs and saw Mateo with tissue in his hands cleaning water off the floor.

Elena: baby what are you doing? I said turn on the light

Mateo: i was tirsty and I didnt want to wake you up (if there is any improper spelling with Mateo speaking its because of his grammar)

Elena: please next time wake me up, okay? I said putting Mateo on the counter and cleaning up the water

Mateo: im sorry

Elena: its fine

*11:30am*
I woke up with a headache from crying last night. I was thinking about Mattia and it all rushed to me, all the fucking memories. I got up and walked to the bathroom and took a quick shower. Once i got out i saw Mateo sitting up on the bed smiling at me.

Elena: hey baby. I said returning a happy face

Mateo: hey mommy, can we go see daddy? I miss him. He said getting up to hug me

I really didnt want to see him at all just wanted to stay away from him as long as possible, but it was an exception when it comes to Mateo.

Elena: sure, you can spend a day with him, sounds good?

Mateo: yayy!

*dropping off Mateo*
I was in the driveway of Matiluca, mattia's moms house and  Mateo was in the back seat. I got out the car and unbuckled him from the car seat. He had his stuff animals with him and a little bag with him. I knocked on the door and Matilica opened it.

Matiluca: hey baby! She said with a big smile

Mateo: hi gramma!

Elena: is Mattia here? Mateo wanted to spend the day

Matiluca's face turned into a small frown and she hesitated to say something but she did.

Matiluca: I'll go get him you guys can wait in the car

Me and Mateo walked back to the car and he sat in his car seat as I was thinking.

Mateo: you okay mommy?

Elena: huh- yeah im fine. I say looking in the rear view mirror and smiling.

I saw Mattia walk out of the house with his head down then he looked at me then the sky. His hair was messy and wet he had on his glasses and sweats and a white shirt.

Mateo: daddy!

Mattia: hey Mateo, hi Elena. He said waving to me

I forced a small smile on my face which was basically saying hi back. As I watch Mateo and Mattia walk back in the house I drove off.

Mattia POV
Me and Mateo walked downstairs to my room at the worst time possible I was with my "girlfriend". She really wasnt my girlfriend just somebody to keep my mind off of Elena. I opened the door and Mateo look at Brianna and back at me.

Mateo: who is dat daddy?

Mattia: wait a min

I set Mateo on the bed and Brianna just looked at him and smiled. Mateo smiled back and I change my shirt.

Brianna: who is this cutie Mattia?

Mattia: uh my son

Brianna: oh you're a dad? She said with one eyebrow raised

I nodded and sat on the bed with Mateo and Brianna.

Mateo: hi lady

Brianna: hi, I'm brianna what is your name? She said touching his hands

Mateo: Mateo! He said giggling

They were playing for quite some time and she was tickling him and stuff like that. He seemed very happy, as if he wasnt already happy. My mom walked in my room and I looked at her.

Matiluca: mattia can I talk to you?

Mattia: yeah

I got up and walked to the other side of the room, Brianna and Mateo werent going to hear us.

Matiluca: I dont think you should have Mateo over with Brianna

Mattia: why not?

Matiluca: because if you dont want Elena to flip out on you about having  Mateo around other girls then he shouldnt be here

Mattia: she is not going to say anything to me, she doesnt even want to look at me. I say running my finger through my hair

Matiluca: you better be careful because thats her son

Mattia: that's OUR son I know what im doing

Matiluca: okay whatever

She left my room and I walked back over to Brianna and sat next to them.

Mattia: y'all wanna watch a movie?! I say smiling

Mateo: yess!

Brianna: what do you wanna watch Mateo? She said with a big smile

Mateo: lightly McQueen!

Mattia: okay then

I turned on the movie and i put Mateo in between me and Brianna
