CHAPTER 26

Elena POV
I was woken up by Mateo moving in my bed. I couldn't go back to sleep after 30 mins of me being up. I walked downstairs and called Kairi.

Kairi: hello?

Elena: i know its late at night but can you come over please

Kairi: uh sure I'll be there in 20 minutes

Elena: okay

*20 mins later*
I heard a knock on the door and I opened it. Kairi was standing there with his hair all messy. I smiled and he walked in and laid on the couch.

Elena: sorry for waking you up

Kairi: its fine. He said with his eyes closed

I laid in his arms on the couch and he just hugged me. I tapped his nose with my finger and he opened his eyes.

Elena: upstairs?

Kairi: yeah

We walked upstairs and I put Mateo in his room. Once I walked back in the room Kairi was laying down and had no shirt on with the cover under his arm. I laid next to him and wrapped my arm around him.

Elena: good night

Kairi: good night

*morning*
I woke up and the sun beamed right into my eyes. I looked over at Kairi and his hair was sticking up and it was really messy.

Kairi: take a picture it will last longer

Elena: sorry cant my phone would break

Kairi: damn...he said laughing

Elena: I am so boreda!

Kairi: you just woke up. He said smiling

We heard little footstep approach the door and Mateo ran in and jumped on us.

Mateo: hi mommy!!

Elena: oh hey sweetie. I said smiling

Kairi: hey little man

Mateo: hey kairee!

I sat up and held Mateo bridal style in my arms and he was laughing.

Elena: I need to cut your hair

Mateo: no I want to be like daddy

My heart....😣

Elena: awe that so cute

Kairi: that really is

Elena: well yall wanna go to the beach today?

Kairi: hell yes!

Mateo put his hand over Kairi's mouth and said....

Mateo: shh, god can here you. He said giggling

Me and Kairi laughed and we got up. I made breakfast and we sat down and ate like a normal family, even know Kairi and me arent dating. When we were done eating I was washing dishes and Kairi walked in the kitchen from downstairs and said....

Kairi: any water Mateo is thirsty

Elena: what are y'all doing up there?

Kairi: playing tag

Elena: okay don't break anything

Kairi: okay mom. He said running up stairs

*3 hours later*
It was 2:28pm and we were getting ready to head to the beach. It was really sunny and hot so it would be perfect. I was putting on Mateo's shoes and his swimming trunks while Kairi went home to get his stuff.

Elena: okay go downstairs I'll be there in a minute

Mateo: okay

He walked downstairs and I was cleaning up his room when I saw a paper on the ground. It was all crumbled up and was thrown under his bed. I picked it up and uncrumbled it, it was in sloppy hand writing which was Mateo. I read it and it was kinda sad but heart warming.

I miss dady he is so nise and always here for momy he was very mean somtimes and yelled at momy but I tink she still wuv him I no I do I will always wuv dady if momy does

It was so sweet and i really didnt know he could spell so good. N e ways I walked downstairs and Kairi was om the couch.

Kairi: ready?

Mateo: ready!

We all walked out to the car and went to the beach.
