CHAPTER 20

Elena POV
I was just playing with Mateo and his toys having a normal day. The only off thing was that Mattia wasnt there, but Mateo wasnt asking questions so I was okay with that. While it was getting later I heard a knock on the door...please be Mattia, please be Mattia....Nope....Kairi. I opened the door to a big smile on his face.

Kairi: hey, can I come in?

Elena: ofc

I let him in and he sat on the couch.

Mateo: hiii! He said waving

Kairi: he little dude

Mateo laughs at Kairis remark and I sit next to him but at a distance.

Elena: why are you here?

Kairi: oh because just wanted to say bye before I went back to the other city

Elena: oh well, you can stay the last few hours until Mateo goes to sleep

Kairi: okay sounds cool

*3 hours later*

Elena: bye

Kairi: bye text you later

Elena: alright

I closed the door and locked it, I had let Mateo stay up 30 extra mins because its was his birthday but I really wanted him to stay awake, i had no one to conversate with. Even if Mattia was mad at me or I was mad at him we both would had have a conversation anyway. I walked upstairs slowly, took a shower, watched TV, and fell asleep 2 hours later. I heard my door open so i turned over.

Mattia: im back. He whispered and walking away

Elena: come here. I whispered yelled standing up "where the fuck were you?!"

Mattia: what do you mean?

Elena: what do you mean? Mattia it was your sons birthday today!

Mattia: stop yelling

Elena: what do you mean stop yelling?! You left for 2 years, missed 2 birthdays you could have been here for the 3rd one!!! I said yelling probably waking Mateo

Mateo POV
I heard mommy yelling, I think she was yelling at daddy. He had came back! I get up out of my bed and I sit by the door and watch as they yell at each other.

Elena: you're a fucking asshole, you called you son a bitch, wtf was going through your head to say that to a 3 year old!! I heard mommy yell

Mattia: so what, i left once and I can always leave again! I can leave and never see you or Mateo ever again, because im fucking 17 how do you expect me to be a perfect dad!!

Elena: im not a perfect mom but i try! Mommy yelled and it sound as if she was crying

Mattia: do you want me to leave?! Daddy yelled at mommy

Please sat no mommy....

Elena: yes! And I dont want to see you again!

There was silence between mommy and daddy...he just looked at her and he balled up fist became normal

Mattia: fine with me

Elena: wait no Mattia dont leave...mommy said grabbing Daddy's arm and he yanked his arm away

Daddy walked down the stairs and mommy followed. I crawled out to the stairs and sat at the top on and looked threw the railing.

Elena: I didnt mean it...dont leave I can't do anything without you. Mommy said crying

Mattia: you did it the past 2 years you can survive until you die

Elena: no! No! Please stay at least one more night with me and Mateo, tell him your leaving at least...mommy said in a soft voice

Mattia: stop im leaving, I fucking cant be a dad I never wanted to. I did you a favor by staying these past few weeks so please let me live my life

Seeing mommy cry so much made me start to kinda cry. I never saw mommy cry like that before, she was always happy and never had a reason to cry. I wanted to call her name so bad but I knew I would mess things more than I already messed it up. After 30 seconds of silence the door shut, which means daddy left and he wouldnt come back. I heard mommy start to cry really loud as she dropped to the floor. I walked down the stairs slowly and she was in a ball crying...

Mateo: mommy...I said crying

Elena POV
Mateo: mommy....he said crying

Elena: come here. I said trying to control my crying

I picked him up and brought him to my room. I turned on my led lights to purple which reminded me of Mattia so i felt better but still was crying. Mateo kept wrapping his arms around me while I cried but I would just move them because I didnt want to feel anything on me.

Mateo: im sorry

Elena: w-why are you s-sorry. I turned over

Mateo: because I was b-born and now you and daddy are fighting. He said as he cried

To this point i knew that I needed to stop crying before he could say anything else

Elena: its not your fault nothing is we both love you, its just we dont get along

Mateo: okay...he said as if he didnt believe me

I hugged him and kissed his cheek

Elena: good night, i love you

Mateo: I love you too

This was a very sad chapter, I am so sorry for the people I made cry😪
