Kageyama knocked on the door, waiting patiently. It opened to reveal a brunette woman, holding a small red headed girl. "Hello Mrs. Hinata."

"Hello Kageyama. Why are you here by yourself? Where's Shōyō?" She asked, looking behind him.

"Um... Can I come in?"

"Yes, of course." She stepped back, letting him enter the house. Natsu looked up, smiling.

"Kageyama! Did big brother send you over here?" She asked.

"Yeah he did Natsu. Hey, can you go to your room really quick so I can talk to your mommy?" He asked gently. The little girl nodded and ran off down the hall.

"Did something happen to Hinata?"

"Yes. He collapsed during practice. I didn't have your number. No one did. He uh..." Kageyama tapped his own knee twice and sighed. "Have you noticed how skinny he's gotten? Or how he wears long sleeves and pants instead of shorts? Or even wears long knee pads?"

" Yes. Kageyama, what happened to my son?! "

"They've emitted him into the psych ward of the hospital nearby." Kageyama stated and shut his eyes. "I promise I didn't know anything about this. If I did I would have stopped him. I'm so sorry."

"Kageyama... I'll drive you over there first thing in the morning. Please don't blame yourself. I... I understand your pain. You can stay here tonight." She said and wiped a few tears away. "He's going to get better."

"Thank you so much." Kageyama stated and tapped his knee again, in tears. "Thank you."

"He sprayed his cologne in his room this morning to help calm down Natsu. Sleep in his bed. Trust me, alright?"

"Alright."

Kageyama got up quickly and headed to that small room at the back of the hall. The one with the pride flag and the posters filling the walls. The one that held pictures of the team and had small glow in the dark stars on the ceiling from years ago. And it smelled of the small boy. It had hit Kageyama so hard that when he closed the door all he could do was fall on the bed and sob.

He was quiet though and held the small stuffed bunny on the bed to his chest. He couldn't stop crying to himself, angry that he couldn't notice the signs sooner. And he was so ungodly terrified that when he got to the hospital everything would come crashing down.

"I'm sorry... Hinata... I-I wasn't joking... Please... Just believe in me. This hurts..." He sobbed again and covered himself in all of the blankets, taking in the scent.

Knock. Knock.

"Kageyama? Do you need a hug?"

"Sure Natsu. I would love that." Kageyama answered. The red head opened the door and walked in, heading straight to the bed.

"Why are you crying? Did I make you sad?" She asked.

"No, you can't make me sad." She climbed up on the bed and wrapped her small form around his waist. "Thank you Natsu. That's very sweet of you to do..."

"When is big brother coming home?"

Kageyama sniffed and sighed. "Soon Natsu, soon."

Bzzt. Bzzt.

Kageyama sighed and grabbed his phone. He set down the brush he was holding and nearly dropped the other object. "MRS. HINATA! HE'S AWAKE!"

"HE IS?!"

"Yes! Room 17 on the second floor of the psych ward." Kageyama quickly finished brushing out Natsu's hair and slipped on his shoes. The brunette hurried out of the house with her daughter in her arms.

"Kageyama, get her in her car seat."

Kageyama took Natsu and buckled her in, his heart racing. "Alright, got it."

Soon enough, they were at the hospital, Kageyama already running to the front lobby before the brunette could get half way across the parking lot. "Hello. Room 17... Second floor of the psych ward... For Shōyō Hinata."

"Alright sir, I just need you to sign in." Kageyama quickly wrote his name down along with anything else he needed to.

"Thank you." He ran up the stairs, stopping when he saw other members of his team.

Daichi turned and waved. "Hey."

"Hey. Why isn't anyone in the room?"

"He's asleep and I don't want to risk Tanaka or Nishinoya waking him up."

"Oh. Can I go in?"

"Of course you can. Suga, can you go with Kageyama?"

Sugawara turned and nodded. He walked with Kageyama down the hall. "You look a little tired yourself."

"I do?"

"Yeah." Sugawara shrugged. "None of us got much sleep last night. It's alright."

"Oh." Kageyama walked into Hinata's room and sat down by the bed. Hinata was fast asleep, just as he'd been told. Kageyama reached and tapped Hinata's bicep twice. "You can't really feel much."

"I can't?"

"No, no. You can't feel much on his arm. It's stiff."

"Oh… well you'll be able to feel something soon enough. He's going to get better."

Kageyama nodded and put his head down on the side of the bed. "They wrapped his arms."

"Good. Those cut-" Sugawara stopped and looked at Kageyama. The younger male was looking at the floor. He seemed… off.

Hinata's mother walked in with Natsu and smiled at Sugawara. "Hello."

"Hi! Are you Hinata's mom?"

"I am." She set Natsu down and the little girl hurried to Kageyama, throwing her arms around him. "Sweetheart careful with Kageyama. He's tired."

Natsu backed up a bit and gazed at her older brother. "What happened?"

Kageyama lifted her up into his lap and pulled out his phone. "You wanna play a game?"

"Oh! Yeah!"

Kageyama distracted her from the unconscious male laying beside them, praying she wouldn't notice anything. Hinata's mother went to the other side of the bed and held Hinata's face tenderly. "Oh my precious baby boy…"

Sugawara walked out silently to give them privacy.

Kageyama set Natsu on the floor by his feet and watched Hinata intently. Any minute now he'd wake up. And honestly, he didn't know how ready he was for that.

A few minutes later a few others walked in and sat around, watching or talking in hushed tones. Kageyama leaned closer to Hinata and rubbed his hair. Dry.

"Hey, keep doing that." Nishinoya whispered.

Kageyama kept doing it and Hinata's fluttered open. He was out of it but he was awake. Which was great... Kind of.

Hinata opened and closed his mouth before coughing and rubbing his eyes. He stopped when the bandages of his wrist hit his face and he sighed. "Why…" Hinata yawned and closed his eyes. "What's with the wraps?"

His mother hugged him gently. "Good morning sleepy head."

"Hm?" Hinata looked at her quizzically. "Wasn't I in the gym? Is this a dream?"

Kageyama hugged him next. "How do you feel?"

"I'm dreaming." Hinata concluded. He looked at his teammates. "Wait. Wait this isn't a dream."

"No, it's not." Kageyama pulled off of him a little bit and looked him in the eye. "Again, are you okay?"

"Yes. Why wouldn't I be okay?"

A few people shared glances before Sugawara stepped closer to the bed. "Hinata… you fainted during the practice game."
