Sugawara looked up from his spot on the couch, half asleep. "What..." He rubbed his eyes and sat up. Daichi looked up and groaned.
"What's wrong?"
"Hang on, where's Hinata?"
Daichi sat up and yawned. He looked at the bed where Kageyama was still asleep. But no Hinata in his arms. "Oh no."
"Shit." Sugawara shot up and went to the bathroom. He tried to open the door but froze. "No, no, no, no. It's locked."
Daichi got up and pulled a small bit off metal out of his pocket. He put it into the lock and turned it. Sugawara opened the door and bent down.
Hinata looked up from his spot on the floor, eyes wide with terror. Sugawara sat down and held out an arm. "I'm right here. Come here."
Hinata coughed and shook his head.
Sugawara nodded and put his arm back down. "Alright." Hinata put his head back down and sighed. "Nothing came out, did it?"
"I..." Hinata's coughing turned into quiet sobs. Sugawara took him in his arms and held him.
"Let it out. It's alright. It's going to be okay." Daichi sat behind Sugawara and held them both the best he could. "Lets get you back in bed before Kageyama wakes up, okay?"
"O-okay."
Sugawara helped him stand and eased him back into bed. Kageyama woke up a bit and wiped away his tears. "What's wrong?"
"It's nothing." Hinata mumbled. He put his head down and coughed again.
Kageyama patted his back and sighed. "Go back to sleep." Hinata looked up and sighed. "What?"
"Are you alright?"
"You're the one who just cried. Damn." Kageyama flicked Hinata's forehead and sat up. "Why were you crying?"
"He's alright." Sugawara reassured. "He's just a little upset."
"Alright." Kageyama rolled his shoulders and looked at Hinata. "Do you want me to go get you some water?"
"Mhm."
"Alright." Kageyama got up and walked out.
"Are you alright?" Sugawara asked.
"Mhm."
"Hey um..." Sugawara sat on the side of the bed and patted Hinata's bicep. "You know, it's going to get better. I can't really just make it better of course but it does. I've seen what this does to people and I really don't think it's going to happen to you. One day you'll look back and laugh that you thought this would help you. And one day these-" He lifted Hinata's wrist. "Will be gone. I really believe they will be. And Kageyama is going to be able to squish your face and laugh with you. You don't have to force yourself to be happy."
Hinata stared up at Sugawara. He noticed Sugawara's hand and sat up. Hinata started observing the older male and then looked over himself. Daichi noticed and looked at Sugawara.
"What's wrong?"
"Can you fix the tube again?"
Sugawara reached over and repositioned it. "Better?"
"Yeah. You um..." Hinata glanced up at Daichi, who nodded. He returned his gaze to Sugawara. "You're like me..."
"Is it that obvious?" Sugawara looked down at himself. "Eh. Not as much as before at least."
Hinata looked down into his lap. "I'm sorry."
"Oh no, it's okay. I didn't go through exactly what you went through so I'm only really giving you things about the eating disorder. You don't have to feel bad because of this. I've gotten better." Sugawara explained.
