Chapter 24

Sugawara had Hinata sitting on a stool, talking quietly on the phone as he got everything ready. "Guess who's here?"

"Who?"

"Well one is here. The other is like five minutes away."

Daichi looked up from his computer. "That's why you had to use my phone."

"Mhm. Not like you have anything to hide on it. Right?"

Daichi shrugged and turned back to his computer. "Your nudes."

"JESUS! NOT IN FRONT OF OTHER PEOPLE YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!"

"Ha! That's two quarters!"

"MOTHERRRRR."

Hinata looked between the two, confused. Daichi's mother walked into the room. "Yes?"

"Daichi saying nudes is a curse word, correct?"

She opened her mouth, closed it and suppressed a laugh. "You just admitted to sending my son nudes."

Sugawara clamped a hand over his mouth as both brunette's laughed loudly. "Oh no…"

"No Suga it's alright, really." Daichi stood and held the older male. "Don't worry. She honestly doesn't care."

"I don't. Just as long as I don't have to see them, I won't say anything about them. Got it?"

"Y-yeah."

"Also, nudes is a curse word. That's a quarter for you sir."

Daichi groaned. "Yes ma'am."

Sugawara turned to Hinata and sighed. "Sorry about that."

"Um… it's okay?" He yawned. "Who's here?"

"Right!" Sugawara hurried to the front of the house.

Daichi sat down at the table again. "You feel alright?"

"Mhm."

"You hungry?"

"I'm... I'm okay."

"Just remember that Suga can see through that Hinata. Trust me."

"Right."

Sugawara walked back into the kitchen with Asahi and Kageyama both behind him. Kageyama walked to Hinata first and hugged him. "You alright?"

"Y-yeah." Hinata wrapped his arms around Kageyama and genuinely smiled this time. "Thank you."

"Mhm." Kageyama stood again before taking Hinata's face in both hands, peering at him. "Are you tired?"

"A little bit." Hinata smiled wider as Kageyama pressed a soft kiss to his cheek. He laughed and returned the gesture. "Everyone here is way nicer than my mom."

"Good." Kageyama stepped back and let Sugawara and Asahi step forward to help the ginger.

Sugawara grabbed the cleaning ointment from the counter and sighed. "This is going to sting a bit. I clean and Asahi will wrap these up."

"Okay."

Asahi smiled and waited for Sugawara to start. The older male pulled out tweezers and pinced a piece of dead skin off of a deeper cut. Hinata whimpered and shut his eyes. Sugawara pressed a wet cloth to the skin and put the ointment on.

The whole time Hinata was whimpering and jolting away. Sugawara would stop, let him breathe, and then continue. He knew Hinata hated his scars and was really careful. But of course it had to hurt. It was natural.

Finally, Sugawara stepped away and Asahi grabbed cloth bandages. He started wrapping Hinata's arms, using feather light touches when he had to press down a bit more. "I'm really sorry if I'm hurting you."

"N-no it's okay!" Hinata hissed as a bandage pressed into a wound. "Just stings!"

Kageyama eased his arms around Hinata as Asahi was finishing. He pressed soft kisses to the side of his face and sighed.

"Kags…"

"Yes?"

"Why exactly are you dating me again?"

Sugawara's head shot up and he stared at Kageyama as if to say "don't mess this up". Kageyama put his head down on Hinata's shoulder. "Why did you start volleyball?"

"Cause I love voll-" Hinata yelped. "KAGEYAMA!"

Kageyama smiled into Hinata's shoulder and closed his eyes. "Hm?"

"That was sweet and all but I think Hinata might want to go lay down for a bit. He does look tired."

Hinata nodded. Kageyama lifted Hinata up, holding him securely. He was carried upstairs, being laid down and held. Hinata curled up, partially in Kageyama's jacket to stay warm. "Were you joking a minute ago?"

"No." Kageyama pressed a kiss to Hinata's forehead. "Why?"

Hinata smiled brightly up at him. Kageyama faced away from him, hiding his blush. Hands held the sides of Kageyama's face for a moment, allowing Hinata to see him again. "I thought you didn't get embarrassed? Hm?"

"Dumbass." Kageyama mumbled. He covered his face and Hinata pried hid hands away again.

He paused for a moment and looked at Kageyama. "Tobio."

Kageyama actually looked up this time, surprised. "Yes?"

Hinata smiled gently and inched closer. "Can I call you that?"

"Oh um… okay."

"Cool!" Hinata ruffled Kageyama's hair, giggling. He pressed a firm kiss to Kageyama's cheek.

"Stop teasing me." Kageyama growled. Hinata paused for a moment. He laughed and tilted his head.

"What do you want me to do?" Kageyama rolled his eyes. He grabbed the back of Hinata's neck and carefully pressed his lips to Hinata's. The ginger eased away and shakily sighed. "Woah."

"E-eh." Kageyama turned around. Hinata laughed loudly, his heart pounding into his chest. He crawled over Kageyama and grinned.

"You just kissed me!"

"No shit."

Hinata grabbed Kageyama's shoulder and flipped him over the best he could. "Do it again."

"You can't just ask that!"

"Why not?"

"Cause…sing."

"I can't hear you."

"Cause… em…sing..." Kageyama mumbled.

"Seriously I can't hear you."

"Cause it's embarrassing!"

Hinata's eyes widened. "You don't have to then. I just thought it was funny." He ruffled Kageyama's hair. "Its okay."

Kageyama nodded. He held Hinata around the waist again and waited.

"Do you want to?" Kageyama nodded. Hinata smiled. "Okay."

One of Hinata's hands held the back of Kageyama's neck and he eased his lips onto Kageyama's. He stayed like that for a moment, enjoying how Kageyama's hands fiddled behind him and how hesitant he was to return the gentle move. He was a lot shyer than he'd thought.

Hinata pulled away and smiled. "See, it's not that bad." Kageyama blushed a deeper red and put his head down on Hinata's shoulder. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

"Eh… okay."  Hinata put his head down and closed his eyes. "Night Tobio."

"Night." Kageyama mumbled. He closed his own eyes and smiled.

Either in the next chapter or the one after that something will happen but I AM NOT making a separate story for that.
