A jar and a sailboat

Jim woke up. He looked at the time on his watch. It was 8:39 he had so much time for his plan till eleven-thirty. Jim was the youngest of the boys. Both Lukas and Nick were sixteen and he was fifteen. He was 1.67 twelve cm shorter than them. Lukas was fit as hell and Nick looked better than any other at their age. He looked himself in the mirror and what he saw looked more like a kid rather than a teenager at fifteen. He wore some clothes, went out and took his bike. It was his first day alone. His parents had left to take care of his aunt Sylvia for at least a week, they had left 50 euros on the fridge for emergencies only. Jim swept away from the camping, nobody could notice him going or arriving, everything had to be secret. He reached the nearby village and parked his bike in front of the pharmacy.

"Hello kid," the pharmacist said, wearing a white robe, while she was working on some weird bottles. Kid, how depressing "Yes, I want a jar of HSH Protein please". The woman looked at Jim frustrated. "You are too young to take that, it is given to people older than sixteen". Jim was perfect at lying. He knew nobody in Greece was checking for doctor's prescription so he answered smiling "Oh these are for my older brother, he is wrestling. I'm twelve, I can't take that, but my mommy was busy today so she couldn't come". "Oh ok then," said the pharmacist relieved "Its 15.96. Your brother shall take a pill every day or two, whatever your prescription is. Please keep it away from all electronic devices, especially phones" Jim took the jar, stopped for some beers at the supermarket (again nobody asked for an identity card or his age) and returned to the camping. He stopped fast when he saw Luke leaving with his bike

He was going to Helen again. Man, he was obsessed with her. He had spent the last night hearing Lukas telling him how awesome she was and what exactly happened at the beach. What was the point really? He had the body and character to attract any girl he wished. Thankfully, Luke didn't notice him, as he was going to the other direction. He entered his trailer, the time was 9:01 he had time, George wakes up around 11:30 and Lukas was occupied. He started cleaning up. He needed space.

He opened his phone and loaded an exercise program he had downloaded. He opened the Jar and took two pills. Then he started. Damn it was hard, but Jim had a goal and he was dedicated to his goals and it was the perfect time to begin. After two and a half hours he finally stopped. He had showered by sweat in the last hours so he got dry by his towel, changed clothes and went to his bag. He checked the HSH Jar. "Immediate results in less than a weeks time" was written on the front. "One week huh, I can wait that long" he talked to himself.

The door knocked. It was Nick. He quickly swallowed a pill and hid the jar. He rushed and opened the door. "Hey Jim, may I come in?" "How about outside, the weather seems really great today," Jim said, trying to prevent him from accidentally finding the jar. "We can't talk about that outside, please, can I come in?" Jim raised his eyebrows, sign that he was ok with this and let Nick inside. Jim came in and went towards Jim's parents' bed, which transforms into a couch. "I was talking to Helen yesterday..." "Oh, not you too Nick," "No it's not that, so she told me that miss Anna was furious about her asking if she knew the man who died, which led her to the suspicion that miss Anna knew well the victim of the story, maybe even loved her. Today I passed by, to give her an orange pie my mum made. Miss Anna opened and she told me that she had to give me something very important"

Nick took his bag off, opened the zip and pulled out a small metallic box, with silver and bronze details all around, that were forming something like a garden, with ancient greek columns and a woman figure in the middle. The box looked old and rusted, it must have been painted, because Jim could spot some leftover coloured spots. "She told me to keep it until everything is ok. I brought it here, cause in my house it will be definitely noticed" "What's inside? Did you saw?" Jim asked curiously. "It's somehow locked, I was trying yesterday to unlock it all evening" "But there's no keyhole" "I know, anyway, our job is to keep the box" Jim opened a cupboard right next to the sink and placed it inside. "Do you think it has anything to do with that story?" Nick asked. Jim raised his shoulders. Jim didn't care so much about the story, he just wanted to go to the beach, but it seemed like everybody else was too hyped about the whole situation.
