The door of the trailer knocked. Lukas left the couch and walked to the door, half asleep, yawning. He opened the door and Miss Efthimiadi, Nick's mother walked in furiously. "Where is he" she shouted, forcing the other two boys to wake up. "Oh there you are" she reached Nick, who was now completely aware of the situation, cornered himself at the end of the couch, trying to get as far away as he could. "You came back to camp at 2 AM? You could have died..." She yelled at him. "Your brother told me everything..." All three of them gulped. "Going to nearby beaches with foreigners, do you think that's safe? George was yelled too for letting you come, I mean you are just a child..." She stopped and breathed heavily. She turned to Jim and said "Jim dear, your mother called me asking if you are alright. Please call her, she said that your phone was switched off, also you are invited to lunch with us today, also here are another 50 euros, she said reaching her left pocket and giving him the orange paper."
She left the trailer and rushed to return to cooking. "Uhm, I think you should leave. It's already twelve fifty" Jim said still half asleep. Lukas and George left, closing the door and without saying no word to each other split and walked to their trailers. By the time Luke reached his trailer, he started to understand what was going on. He ate breakfast quite slowly. His head hurt so bad he wished he could chop it. By the time he had almost finished eating his toast and eggs, Stratos came out of the trailer yawning.
"You are lucky George didn't say a word," said to him and pushed his back nodding to pass him the milk. "What about mum and dad?" asked Lukas quite worried. "They didn't even hear me coming this morning, they are surely drunk themselves. Won't be awake until two" he said while pouring the milk to the biggest glass they had taken with them. "What did you do last night? When we got out Chris' car wasn't there" " You don't want to know, now, did you made any eggs for me or did you just left your big bro hungry?"
"Seems like we went out the wrong night," Stratos said "So bad went things fo you?" Luke gasped, who was still trying to learn what had happened to them yesterday. "No I mean with miss Anna, we could have been arrested and become suspects of murder if we didn't sneak back in the camping this morning." Luke didn't understand "What happened to Ms Anna? Was that why there were two police cars on the front door" "You didn't hear? Ms Anna is dead, she was killed last night." Luke was frozen. "H...How?" "Stabbed with a knife, terrible. The whole camping was filled with policemen, they might even close it permanently." Luke had now stopped eating, his hunger had left for good.
However great news was appearing on the horizon, which changed Luke's character rather quickly. Helen appeared from the edge of the way. Luke was shocked, she was looking for HIM? Now, this is going somewhere. She reached their yard and turned to him. She wasn't smiling, quite unusual, she always smiles "Hey can I talk to you". "Yes sure, is everything ok? " "In private please..." She was looking at Stratos staring at her. He quickly turned away his head, acting he didn't listen, but Lukas left the yard and started walking with her.
Helen explained to him quickly what she had seen. Her eyes were now wet from tears. Lukas looked at her and without even thinking about what he was doing he hugged her tightly, her head was laying on his chest, she cleaned her face from the tears and looked Lukas in the eyes. "Thanks, I needed that, I'm just scared, you know whoever he was he could kill again" "Hey you don't have to worry about that... I mean the police will take care of everything, I'm sorry about Ms Anna though, she didn't do anything, she didn't deserve it"
"Well there is something strange to that" Helen said now in a more relaxed tone " but I don't want to believe it's real. I'll tell you if I have no other option, now what do you say about a cup of Ice Cream, I'm not in the mood of swimming today." Lukas nodded and they both walked towards the mini market of the camping, next to the swings. That was amazing. He was the first person she turned to after the event, not even Elina, her best friend here. Maybe she wanted some support... Or maybe something more than that? He had to do something to cheer her up, but now, with the recent events, she wouldn't be in a good mood until the police find the killer.
