Nick knew that these Fries were nothing but normal. He was silently lying on his bed, thinking about the events of the last day. "Aphrodite, what does that mean?" he thought. Who is Aphrodite? Pretty rare name, not many women are named like that. He had broken in Mr Yannis' office at midday, he checked the books, no Aphrodite was staying inside the camping site. However, his plans for further investigations will come to a halt.
He didn't want to get in trouble if his parents found out anything and he couldn't do it alone, so he stayed in his trailer, scrawling in Instagram, swiping threw stories. He stopped to a particular story. Danae was partying at a beach club at Nikitas, a town on the other side of the gulf. She was with somebody. A boy. It had been a month and some days and she was already seeing others. "Relax Nick, it might have been a one-night thing, don't rush to conclusions," he told himself. He clicked on her icon and transmitted to her profile.
His instincts were correct. She had been seeing that guy. The last post was a picture of them on the beach, the caption could explain everything. "one night isn't enough". Nick and Danae had a complicated past. They had broken up twice in a year, their last break up was too hard on Nick, but he couldn't believe that Danae could move on so soon when he wasn't still ready. The sun had set and Nick hadn't moved an inch. He had a plain face, rethinking everything. How tough was his life, how lonely he was at school after his break up, how he has to deal with his stupid family 24/7.
The door of the trailer opened. "Nick, we're eating, your father and I are going to Mr Abraamopoulos trailer for cards later, please make sure Anne sleeps early". Nick just raised his head. "Can I stay here, I'm not that hungry" his mother came closer. "Are you alright honey? Why don't you want to eat?" It was right then that Anne started screaming. "Mum, MUUUM" she cried. "I'll be back in a little Nick," she said, closing the trailer's door. She didn't return at all that evening.
That was the struggle being the middle-child, there was never time for him, neither energy nor money. He had to solve his problems by himself while having to assist everyone else. He remained in the same position. Laid down on his bed, until he had fallen asleep.

The inspector was sitting on the desk, still thinking the chief's alternative. The vibration of her phone moved her away from her thoughts. "Hello Inspector," a voice said from the other edge of the line. "We need you back in the city" the voice continued. "But sir, I've been here for only two days..." the inspector started talking but she was quickly interrupted. "We know, but there are more important things for you than an old lady," the inspector knew this tactic very well. The police force would send someone to investigate, only to relocate him to another crime scene some days later. "Anyways, you are leaving at least tomorrow morning." "What about this crime?" Inspector Anthi asked. "Leave it to the local authorities Anthi, they can handle one small investigation, I am sure they have already found some suspects, end of the story. I want you at the office tomorrow at nine" the voice said and closed his phone.
"Now what?" she thought. She was so pissed off by their seniors that it was moments like this that she considered quitting. She couldn't leave every case she got on her hands open. She opened her phone and called back. "I will return to the office tomorrow if you promise that you will let me finish my investigations from now on," she said. The voice on the other side didn't talk for a few seconds, making Anthi feel that she had made the worst mistake of her life. Her hands trembling, sweat all over her body until the voice came back. "Fine," he said. Anthi let a huge sigh of relief. "...but, you have to be quick" "I know sir" she replied "Goodnight"
She asked the chief to enter the office. "Chief I have been recalled back. The investigation is on your hands from now on" the chief looked her like a beggar looks at the people passing by. "When are you leaving madam?" he asked. "Tonight, Ihave to be at the office tomorrow," she said while packing her bag. "Take this" she gave him her plastic folder. "This is everything that I have gathered in the last two days" The chief took the folder in his hands, taking a glance on the inside, then leaving it again back on the desk. "You have two choices chief. Continue the investigation, or put the blame immediately on the convict." Anthi said as she placed her bag on her bag. "Please don't choose the greek way," she said leaving the chief alone in Mr Yannis' small office.
