"What?" Lukas said shocked. Helen was right next to him, dozed off from reality. They have heard rumours, but rumours never come true. The crowd started leaving as the workers had stabilised the big sign on the ground. «Kryopigi Sea Villas,» the sign said, with a 3d picture of luxurious beach houses «coming soon» was written underneath.

They all went closer, leaving Alex behind. They sat still, just looking at the sign. Nick took a step closer, followed by Jim. He walked under the label and faced directly the old sign «Camping Kryopigi», the old, rusted blue sign with the white capital letters, vanishing behind the bush that they had forgotten to trim. "It's over," he said.

The atmosphere was similar to a memorial service. Alex had left them, understanding that this wasn't an appropriate time to have fun or hang out. "Text me if you need anything..." he said and rode his bike away. "Come in guys, it won't leave just by staring at it," George said and pulled his little brother threw the doors. "I'll go home," Jim said and left, Luke silently going behind him too. Helen and Christine were now left alone.

"I think I'm gonna faint" Christine finally spoke out. Helen pulled her down by the arm as they sat on the bench. "It's all going to be okay," Helen tried to calm her down but it was useless.

...

Jim reached his yard and fell apart on their swing. His head was buzzing. "Closing the camping," he thought, this couldn't be true, this camping was their summer their whole lives and now just like that it was gone. This was the last summer here. This place was part of their lives and someone could just tear it away and break it into little pieces

"Jim," his parents woke him up. He hadn't realised he was asleep. "We have some exciting news to tell you..." They said with a smile. They seemed really excited, considering that today it was announced that the camping was shutting down.

"Your mother and I talked..." Jim's father started talking as they had all taken a sit around the yard's table. "...we have enough money saved for buying a vacation house at these new villas, we talked with the owner and he agreed on giving us the villa that will be built right here," his mother said and pointed towards the ground. "It's going to be larger though... a lot larger than our good old trailer, but the place will remain the same" his father laughed. Jim couldn't share the excitement.

"Come on Jim, why are you so sad after this incredible news?" his father asked with concern on his face. "It's not going to be the same, the people that I hang out with, the people that we grew up together, they won't be here..." he said with a sigh. "Jim things change and we have to adapt too. It's not going to be the same, but you can still make new friends. A ton of new people will be moving in, plus I'm talking with Helen's family. They think about taking a small lawn and buying a house too,"

"I guess you're right," he said returning a slight smile to his parents. Hell, they were buying a HOUSE. "After all we will be here next summer!"

Lydia was walking threw the empty streets of the city. It was August and pretty much everyone had evacuated to the nearest beach. The sun was boiling and not even the trees on the sidewalk could provide a cooler spot.

She passed the French Institue and turned to the left, entering a wide glass-covered building from the early 2000s of the National broadcasting station. There was an old woman at the entrance that immediately stopped her. "Papers please," she said in the emotionless way all public officials talk.

"I have been granted access for research on your archives," she said pulling a signed document from the city hall. "You cannot enter in here, its adult-only" the lady replied without even moving an eyebrow. Her cold eyes were meeting hers directly.
