The boys started cleaning the mess, They threw the fries in the garbage can and Jim filled the glass bottle with water. Nick placed the remaining fries that weren't on the ground on the bowl and they left the kitchen. "We'll talk about this later," Nick whispered as they were approaching the table. "Kitsa where's George, he missed another meal, it's the third time in five days." Anestis was talking to Kitsa. "Leave him alone Anesti. He is 18, he should be having fun, not hanging around with us" Kitsa tried to defend him. "So he can embarrass us to the camping, I am serious Kitsa, this kid is a nightmare"
"What took you so long boys?" Kitsa asked the two boys who were silently eating on the edge of the table. Jim and Nick looked in the eyes trying to decide who was going to find an excuse. "Nothing, we had a call from Helen about something," Nick said quickly. "Nick has found a girlfriend," Anna said to tease him. It worked. "Anna stop it. " Nick said loudly, but Anna wasn't gonna stop so easily.
"What did you eat for lunch?" Luke asked when the boys told him what had happened at lunch. The sun was starting to fall, and the boys came to hang out at Jim's trailer, which had become the new hangout spot for the group. "That's a sign, guys," Nick said, still eager to start searching "someone wanted us to find that name, someone wanted us to start searching for answers." "...and flying french fries is the way to do it. Nick wake up, don't you think that it could have been an accident, an animal, or your sister doing a prank" Luke said, still believing that neutrality was the best decision they could make. "And what about the letters, we need to search at ms Anna's house. She's a weird lady. I'm sure she had many secrets."
"We can't, it's impossible, the police have secured the area. The only thing we can do is wait until the whole situation is over." Jim said, defending Luke. "Εt tu, fili Brute!" Nick said in a dramatic tone. "I warned you, bro," Jim said, laughing. "Except for being dangerous, we step in polices way" " But Luke..." "Well do what you wish, I still don't want to intervene George, I'll see you guys around." Lukas left the other two and walked away, again and for real this time. The cold war had begun.
"So Jim... You in?" "Nah dude, I'm in Lukas' side. So, please, cut that nonsense with the fries and Aphrodite and talk to him before the rift gets too big" Jim said advising his best friend. In this cold war, Jim took the role of Switzerland. "Something tells me that the police won't find anything, even if they do, can you explain these fries by logic, can't you see that something paranormal is happening here," Nick said, still trying to convince Jim to join NATO. " Look, Nick, I really appreciate that you care that much for the camping but I have better things to do, such as enjoying my holidays and not playing inspector gadget. I'll leave you with your thoughts" Jim said and entered his trailer, closing the door behind him.
Inspector Anthie went out of Mr Abraamopoulos trailer, she thanked them and moved to the next. What a mysterious lady that Anna was. Her friends knew nothing, relatives, none, her only hope would be her neighbours, the ones that she hadn't inspected yet. Four remained. She opened her leather bag and checked on her notebook. Eythimiadis, Charitidis, Georgiou, Anastasakis. Four families. The adults had an alibi. Mr Yannis had seen them going out to the village. They returned after r the murder was conducted. Mr and Ms Anastasiadi had even gone away to take care of a relative. She needed to inspect the children, if they had seen something odd, someone, at that night.
This was the most difficult mystery of her career. She couldn't inspect 300 people in a week. The case needed to get closed fast and the police wouldn't let her stay here for a long time. The less suspicious campers will be left for last. She reached the tailer of Charitidis' family. They have a son, who will likely provide her with some useful information. She walked over, miss Christidi was outside reading a gossip magazine, while enjoying her coffee. "Excuse me?" the Inspector asked politely. "My name is Anthie Karagianni, I need to ask some questions to your son. Is he here?" The lady, obviously upset showed her inside, where she found an eighteen-year-old boy laying on the trailer's couch. Chris was relatively short, thin, but with quite a long neck for his size. He had dark eyes, shaved haircut and a small nose, similar to his mothers.
