The grave

Aphrodite, her name was Aphrodite. Helen couldn't make that name slip out of her mind. This was the name that was written with the fries. Now she was convinced that whoever did this knew and loved Aphrodite. The sun was setting behind the hills and the village so she decided to head home now when she could see where she was heading.

She reached her white trailer and sat on the yard, scrolling on her phone when she heard a sudden noise of leaves being smashed by someone right behind her. She turned around. Nobody was there.

Helen left the chair she was sitting on and quickly scanned around the place. There was nobody in sight. She opened her phone's flashlight. She couldn't see any soul around her. The trailer next to theirs was abandoned after the murder was committed and her parents weren't home.

She stepped a step forward and heard a crack on her feet. She looked down and saw some sticks placed in a way that they resembled letters "Find the grave" she read out loud. Helen picked up her phone and called Luke. "You need to come over, NOW."

...

The boys arrived four minutes later with their bikes, they all gathered around the message. "What grave?" Jim asked shocked. "If we knew, we wouldn't be here idiot," Luke said jokingly, but his voice was really concerned as well. "It's obvious that we're talking about Aphrodite's grave" Helen pointed out. "It could be Andreas' grave too..." Nick pointed out. "Can someone open a flashlight, I can't see anything in the dark," he said and by that Jim opened one.

Some leaves cracked behind them once again. They all turned to find some sticks on the yard's table, with an open lantern for them to see. "Open it," Nick wrote out loud so everyone could hear. "I don't think we should be here," Jim said completely spooked out. "I agree with Jim, let's leave..." Luke said walking backwards. "No guys don't you see, whoever is doing this is definitely not trying to kill us but rather help us. We need to find that grave and open it." Helen said firmly.

"Even so I'm spooked out, we can discuss this in the closest place with people," Jim said and hopped on his bike. Soon the others followed and they quickly left Helen's haunted yard and stopped outside the small convenience store, next to the park. "What was that?" Luke started screaming when they reached the store. "Shh, we don't want the whole camping to know," Jim quickly silenced him.

"I believe that the person that placed these sticks is the one that left the message with the fries," Jim said, "it was exactly as mysterious as the incident with the fries was, this was a lot creepier though." "So it's a fact that someone tries to contact us." Nick said, "and that person clearly wants us to find that grave"

"What if it's all a trap?" Luke said. "Why would someone want to kill us, if he wanted to he could already do so at Helen's trailer" Nick pointed out. "This person could be crazy, he could be a serial killer waiting for his next target, manipulating us like puppets, making us players in his game," Luke said, "you promised me that you would stop when this whole thing gets dangerous," he said turning to Helen, "digging up a grave and listening to some signs on sticks isn't considered safe"

"That's why we need to figure out if we are in danger or not," Nick said. "And frankly I believe we are safe. We are four people against probably one..." "What if that one has a gun?" Luke asked. "Then we need to risk it," Helen said, to which she received a wide pause.

"There are two chances..." Nick started talking, "the grave is either Aphrodite's or Andreas' so we need to find who has been buried where" "But it doesn't make sense..." Jim said sceptically, "It must be Andreas' grave since he was the one to die here 30 years ago, I suppose that the grave we need to find isn't far away from the camping"

"And how will we find that grave?" Nick asked as they entered the convenience store. They went to the snack section taking some bags of chips. "I know how..." Helen whispered and went towards the counter. Mr Manolis, the owner of the store was the gossip king of the place if someone knew something it would be him.
