Brothers best friend

Chapter one

I wake up to the smell of pancakes and I know Jonah is cooking. I get up and throw on an oversized why don't we hoodie and leggings.
I run down stairs and give Jonah a hug. He has always been like a big brother to me. "Good morning miss besson." He says and hugs me back. "How are the pancakes?" I ask as I get myself a cup of coffee. I hear footsteps coming down the stairs and I see Zach. I have always had a crush on him and he is the one I spend the most time with. I run up to hug him "hello zachy!" I laugh. "Good morning." He hugs back. Corbyn runs down stairs and sees me and  Zach still hugging. I run up to Corbyn and give him a hug. "How is my young sister on this day!" I respond with kiss on the cheek and walk to the living room. I sit on the couch next to Zach and I lay across him. "How is Reese and Ryan?"  I poke at his arm. "They are just fine"he smiled his adorable smile and I squeeze his cheek. "I'm going to Chris's today,Kayla" Corbyn grabs his shoes to walk out the door. "Zach, keep an eye on her and make sure she does not do anything stupid." Corbyn smiles. Zach nods his head and I sigh. "What do you want to do today?" Zach asks me. I look at the Xbox and sigh. "I want to play Fortnite!" I jump up. Zach laughs and runs upstairs to get his laptop so he can play with me. When he comes back downstairs he has my favorite blanket in his hands. "Thanks Zach." I smile. Soon after 3 round of fortnite, Daniel comes down. "Hello pretty eyed besson!" Daniel says. "Hello" I respond and look at Zach. Zach told me on New Year's Eve that he had feelings for me and he hates it when Daniel flirts with me. I rub zachs arm to insure him that everything is gonna be fine. We are friends with benefits and he wants to ask me to be his girlfriend soon so Daniel kind of bothers him. "Want to go watch tv in your room?" I whisper to Zach? He nods his head and picks me up off the couch. He carry's next upstairs and places me down at his bedroom door. I walk over to his bed and sit down on it and Zach turns on Riverdale because he knows it is my favorite show. "Why do you let Daniel bother you Zach? I'm never going to date him" I sigh "probably because he flirts with you and we like each other." Zach frowns. I lay my head on Zachs  shoulder. "We're not dating yet so any boy can flirt with me. When I'm ready to date I will tell you." I look at Zach. He nods his head. I get up and walk over to his side of the bed. I sit on his lap and poke his cheek. He smiles. "I love your dimples." I smiles. He picks me up and we play fight. It lasts about 5 minutes until Daniel comes in. "Kayla would you like to come watch Netflix with me down stairs" Daniel walks over to me and helps me up. "Sorry Daniel, not right now. Me and Zach were having a serious talk." Daniel laughs and says "are you sure you were talking because it looks like you were play fighting." I blush at Zach and sit back down we're I was on the bed. "Yes we were but we have to talk now. Bye." I sigh. Zach French braids my hair and we talk. "How do you know how to French braid?" "I used to do it to Reese all the time" he says. After he is done doing my hair I get a call from Corbyn. I answer it. "Are you in zachs room?" Corbyn looks into the screen. "Yes, we are watching Riverdale." I smile. Corbyn frowns. "Ever since New Year's Eve when Zach told you he liked you, you two have been with each other more often."  "What are you trying to say, do you not want me to be friends with Zach?" "No Kayla it's not that, I have a feeling you two are dating" my jaw dropped. "We're not dating, but,even if we were dating it's not your choice." He sighed and said goodbye and hung up. Zach pulled me into his lap and wrapped his arms around me. "He is getting suspicious, what do we do." I shrugged my shoulders and didn't speak. That let Zach know that I was upset. He turned on some music on his tv and he sang to me. " I don't deserve you as my best friend,herron" he kept singing and finally I fell asleep.
