Chapter 15- Math homework

"We have different sessions today baby cub so we won't be seeing each other a lot. You sure you're going to be okay?" Somi looks at chaeyoung with concern as they were walking to their classes. "Yah! I'm not a baby!" Chaeyoung whines and elbows the girl beside her. "You're my baby tho." Somi chuckles and ruffles Chaeyoung's hair which earned another whine from the cub.

They both walk to their own classes. "I'll get going then." Somi smiles and waves while Chaeyoung nods and does the same. She enters the class and notices that almost everyone is inside.

"Chaeyoung-ah!" A classmate waves at the younger girl while patting a seat beside them. Chaeyoung looks at the person who owns that voice then ducks her face down and sighs. "Jihyo." She muttered.

"Hey." Jihyo awkwardly smiles. She's been feeling like that ever since Chaeyoung snapped at her on instagram. She wants to fix things with the small cub. "Yeah, Hi." Chaeyoung nods, avoiding Jihyo's gaze.

Teacher came in and looked at everyone in class. He furrowed his eyebrows and sighed. 'Of course, they're late.' He shakes his head in disappointment.

"Well." The teacher clasps his hands together. "Everyone please seat down."

Few minutes pass and a student interrupts the session. "Seonsaengnim." He grabs the class's attention along with the teacher's. "Yes, Jaemin?" The teacher asked. "Uh.. Momo, Sana and Mina are mis-"

A voice of a door being opened shut their classmate's mouth. Three girls appeared. "Y-You're late." The teacher tried to sound intimidating but ended up stuttering. But who can blame him? He's facing the school's three goddesses.

"We're aware." -Sana

"No shit." -Mina

"We know." -Momo

The three of them mumbled and the teacher never seemed to back off that hard in his life. He cleared his throat. "As I was saying." He continued giving today's lecture even though half of the class wasn't paying attention and some were just talking.

As the three girls were walking all the way back to sit on their seats, Mina spotted a figure staring at her nonchalantly. She looks at who those two eyes belong to.

"I thought I should talk to you about what happened..." Jihyo starts opening a conversation with the cub beside her. She placed her left hand on top of Chaeyoung's right hand and rubbed it softly looking at her with soft puppy eyes.

Mina's heart jumped once she made eye contact with the young girl but then her eyes landed on Jihyo's hand that was rubbing Chaeyoung's. Her eyes were filled with sadness and a little bit of anger that was too obvious for anyone to notice, yet there's Chaeyoung, did not notice because she's as dense as someone could ever be.

Mina quickly looked away and decided to look at the floor. She made her way back to her seat and sighed heavily. "You okay?" Momo asked. "Mhm?" Mina looked at Momo. "You seem troubled.. everything okay?" Momo asks again wanting to make sure that her friend is alright. Mina sighs and looks down, she weakly nods. "Yeah." Sana, who's also sitting beside Mina looked at her. She spotted Mina staring at something so she looked there. "Oh..." Sana muttered, "I see." She nods in realization. Mina looks at Sana then looks down again.

'Somi please save me.' Chaeyoung thought as she felt Jihyo put her hand on Chaeyoung's shoulder, then started running her fingers through Chaeyoung's neck, massaging it. "I didn't mean to upset you. I hope you forgive me." Chaeyoung just nodded and smiled to assure the other girl that it was okay, feeling a little bit uncomfortable with their classmates staring at them.

She feels bad for snapping at Jihyo but she really got annoyed by the repetitive question she recieved ever since she came here. "It's okay, really." The cub pats Jihyo's head and starts focusing in the lecture. Jihyo nods and smiles in satisfaction, removing her hand from Chaeyoung's neck. Both are not aware that two eyes are just staring at them from behind with no expression for the rest of the class.
