I pushed the door open to the cafe. The smell of coffee beans filled my nostrils and I sniffed the heavenly smell. I've always liked coffee. I loved it's smell and it's amazing taste.
I and Cameron entered the cafe and took a seat at the booth at he far corner of the cafe. "Ever been here before?" Cameron eyed the place. "Never. I've heard a lot about this place. I thought of trying it." I shrugged, taking out my phone from my pocket.
"Good morning, sir. What would you like to have?" I looked up and my heart literally stopped when I saw the same girl from the hallway, standing there in an apron and a writing pad in her hand. A few strands of hair fell on her face and her striking blue eyes were brighter then the last time I saw them. Her smile suddenly faded away when her eyes met mine. She gulped before looking down at her writing pad.
"Oh hey! You're the girl from the school, right?" Cameron asked.
She looked up at him, forced a smile on her face and nodded. "What would you like to have?" She looked between me and Cameron.
"What's your name? I didn't catch it the last time." I asked her. She gulped once again before saying. "Crystal." Her small voice spoke. "The name's as beautiful as you." Cameron leaned back on his seat and watched her carefully. I narrowed my eyes at him and he jerked in his seat. "Sorry. I didn't mean to flirt." He raised his hand in surrender.
"I would like to take a cup of hot chocolate." Cameron winked and said. "I would like some caffeine." I said. She nodded and wrote our orders down on the pad. As her hands moved to write I saw a glimpse of red on her hand. She put the pen down. "Your orders will be served shortly." I saw the fresh cut on her wrist. She turned around and left, leaving my eyes wide and mind confused. Where'd she get that cut? My mind called out.
"Dude!" Cameron snapped his fingers. "yeah?"
"What's wrong? What are you thinking?" He asked me, leaning back in his seat and getting comfortable. "nothing." I waved my hand in the air.
About ten minutes later Crystal appeared again, carrying a tray in her hand. She put the cups infront of us and forced a smile on her face. "Let me know if you guys need something else." She said and left.
My mind was still concerned about her wrist. Why would she do that to her?"Dudee!" Cameron snapped his fingers infront of my face again. Did I mention before how much he annoyed the fuck out of me?
"What!" I asked in annoyance. He shifted in his seat and leaned on the table. His hand were on the table as he got closer to my face. "Do you like her?" His eyes raised. I almost chocked on my drink when those words left his mouth.
"Are you crazy?" I rolled my eyes but I felt... nervous.
"You've never looked at someone like that before." He leaned back and took a sip of his drink.
"Like what?" I intensely looked at him and leaned over the table. He copied my action and whispered.
"Like you're in love." Then he broke into fits of laughter. I scoffed and punched his arm. "Love? Shut the hell up. I just met her."
I had never loved someone or been in a serious relationship. Actually, I had never met a decent and simple girl. Girls like Stacy always threw themselves at me and craved for my attention but that wasn't my type.
I liked Crystal. I knew it was too soon but she had something inside of her that attracted me. She was shy, sweet and decent. Just my type. I felt something when I saw her for the first time. She was charming. Her blue sparkling eyes were enough to get any man but she didn't look like the type of girl to flirt or show herself off.
I knew I liked her. She was different. Different from everyone I've met. And maybe that was why I wanted to know her more. I wanted to know everything about her. I wanted to know why she did that to her wrist. I wanted to know why she was crying yesterday and why she winced when I touched her. I wanted to help her out.
I wanted her to like me back.
