"How was your day, Aiden?" Mom asked when I entered the kitchen. I took out a water bottle from the fridge and gulped down half of it's content. "Fine."
She looked at me for a while and got closer to me. She put her hand on my shoulder. "Aiden, what's wrong? You're acting strange from the past few days." She asked me, concerned.
"It's nothing, mom." I sighed and sat down on the counter chair.
"Alright.." She eyed me. "How are you?" I asked her. She sat down on the chair net to me and sighed. "I'm okay but your dad hasn't come home since last night."
"Why are you worrying about him? It's good that you got to have some time alone in peace."
"That's not how things works, Aiden." She chuckled sadly.
"When you love someone you gotta stick with them no matter what." She said and I turned to look at her.
"You still love that man?" She nodded.
"But... He doesn't treat you right. He-" Mom cut me off before I could say anything else.
"Aiden. When you love someone you gotta accept their flaws and I guess I've learned to live with him. No matter what happens I have to stay with him because I have nobody except you both and I will do anything to keep my family together for you."
"This is not right. He's torturing you and still you're willing to sacrifice everything for him." I shook my head. This was really not right.
"Just don't think about it, alright? I'm okay here. I just want to see you treat a women like you want me to be treated." She smiled sadly before standing up and kissing the side of my head. Then she walked out of the kitchen.
She was sacraficing soo many things for me. She was even ready to spend her life with dad for me. She just wanted me to have a good life and be a gentleman to other. She didn't want me to turn out like my dad.

I rang the doorbell and stepped away from the door. I tapped my foot patiently on the tiled floor and waited for anyone to open the door.I heard someone shouting on the other side of the door and then the door suddenly yank opened.
"Aiden!!" Cameron's younger brother, Ryan yelled with a wide smile on his face. "Hey, little guy." A smile made its way up to my face.
"Give me that, you dumbegg." Josh, Ryan's twin ran towards him and tackled him to the floor.
"Get off me you elephant." Ryan tried to push Josh off.
"Woah guys!" I knelt down beside the two boys and tried to break them off. They both were 11 years old and were the cutest kids I've seen. They fought with each other alot but always stayed side by side with each other.
"Aiden, tell him to give me my book back!" Josh yelled.
"You guys are fighting for a book?" My eyebrows raised.
"He's always studying. I want him to play with me!" Ryan yelled, still trying to push Josh off of him.
"I have a test tomorrow!" Josh yelled.
"I don't care! Play with me!"
"Alright, you two. Stop it." Cameron came up from behind and broke them off.
"What are you doing? Enjoying the show?" He asked when he saw me knelling down.
I laughed and stood up. "They are the cutest, I swear." I said still laughing and shaking my head.
"Thank you." Ryan bowed before me and then ran inside the house and Josh ran after him to get his book.
"I wish I had a brother or sister." I looked at the two boys.
"Okay then who am I? A joker?" Cameron put his hands on his waist and glared at me.
"A clown." I stick my tounge out before pushing past him and entering the house.
"Woahh. What is this mess?" I eyed the kitchen.
"I tried to make something then these two monkeys attacked and now it's a mess." Cameron shook his head. He took a cloth and started to wipe the mess off the counter.
"Hey! It was Josh who attacked. Don't you dare call me a monkey." Ryan yelled from the living room and we both chuckled.
"Alright, sorry monkey!" Cameron yelled.
"How are you doing?" Cameron asked me. "Just fine." I said, putting some unwashed plates in the sink.
"What happened yesterday when you took her out of the cafeteria?"
"We just.. talked."
"Did you tell her that you like her?" He asked me and my head snapped towards him.
"No! And you're not telling him or anyone either. I don't want things to be awkward."
"Fine." He put his hand up in surrender.
"When are you going to tell her?" He asked, still trying to clean the mess off the counter.
"I want her to be comfortable with me and then I'll make a move so.. you know things don't get awkward." He understood and nodded his head. "Right."
"You stupid!" We heard Ryan yell from the living room.
"Will you guys ever stop fighting!!" Cameron huffed before marching out of the kitchen.
