14 ~ tears

Y/n ran as quick as she could but Aidan had gotten pretty far already. She saw him but he was too far for him to hear her calls..

How could her dad be so cold? Aidan and her are soulmates, they are meant to be together.

'Aidan!' Y/n tried once again as she stopped running for a few seconds to be able to breathe properly.

Her call must've been very loud because Aidan had turned around and he saw y/n catching her breath. He sighed deeply and walked towards her.

When he was a few meters away from her, y/n ran up to him and embraced him. 'I'm so sorry for what my dad said..' She whispered as she felt herself tearing up again.

'I have no idea what what came over him.'

Aidan loosened his arms around y/n and stepped backwards. Y/n looked up at him, totally confused.

'I don't think I can give you the life you deserve y/n.' He said looking straight into her eyes 'I just can't.'

'We'll figure things out..' Y/n told him as she tried taking his hand in hers but he stepped backwards again, not letting her hand touch his.

With a sigh he looked at his feet not wanting to see the tears in y/n her eyes 'You know I've always been afraid of destroying my soulmate's life. My life y/n, it isn't easy. Like your dad said, I'll be gone tons of times and I won't be able to give you the attention you deserve y/n. You deserve better than that.'

'It's not yours to say what I deserve.' Y/n said sternly as she stepped forward again, this time taking his hand in hers. She looked up at his face which was still looking down to avoid eye contact.

Some tears were rolling down his cheeks and she wiped them away softly with her hand.

After wiping them away, she let her hand stay on his cheek. 'Look at me Aidan.' She sighed as she saw the broken boy in front of her.

And so he did. Aidan looked up and his eyes immediately locked with hers, his soulmate.

'We can get through this.' She sent him a reassuring smile through her tears 'You can feel this too, can't you?'.

Aidan laid his hand upon y/n's hand which was on his cheek. He intertwined their fingers and he slowly leant in. Y/n kissed back and the kiss was slow and pure. There was no hurry. It was just them.

A smile came upon Aidan's lips as he stopped the kiss for few seconds to look into y/n's eyes once again. 'Yes.' He whispered in her ear.
